A Knights Quest keeps a smile on your face as you roam the open world in search of the power and skill to stop what you set in motion to begin with. Combat is a simple system, with smooth and responsive controls, and even in the toughest of battles leaves you feeling accomplished. Parrying is a core aspect to cambat, and is easy enough to do achieve that it doesn't feel combersome. As you progress along you are granted Elemental Powers each with their own accompaying weapons that can be switched between seamlesly durring combat. You also acquire items and skills that grant you access to more areas, or easier paths, like the Grind Boots that allow you to slide along the many rails in the game. The Story is light, but deep enought to keep you engaged. Humor pours from the cracks of this game, keeping everything light hearted even in the most dire of situations. A Knights Tale is an amazingly fun, and funny, game with it's own twist to the standard Adventure Game, a definite for fans of Puzzle Platforming, and silly humor. Expand

Overall: 9.6 A Knight's Quest is a Fable/Zelda like adventure that you don't have to own a Nintendo or Xbox to enjoy. It's hours and hours of a unforgettable adventure available to every one on every platform like it should be.

While A Knight’s Quest can have its moments, the negative outweigh anything positive. The fun is eclipsed by an infuriating nonexistent roadmap of what you’re supposed to do. While I was able to get to the end, for some reason my save file got erased and all of my progress was lost. After that mishap, I had mixed feelings. I love getting achievements and feel I didn’t have long to complete the game which had me upset. However, I realized it was a blessing in disguise and freed me from having to continue getting lost again or wasting hours figuring out where to go next.

A Knight’s Quest has moments of brilliance. I wanted to love it a lot more than I did. I feel like this template could truly be something special to fill a void these other consoles have without a proper Zelda clone. Still, it finds ways to annoy me at every turn. Fix the exploration, backtracking, and mechanical glitches and it could be something special. As it is now it is just another title that will get lost in the sea of games hitting this time of year.

Overall, a Knight's Quest has a lot of charm, happiness and heart to it. The huge world Rusty is in is fantastic, leaving you wondering where you'll wander next. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the inventory system as the 'glitches' seemed to make picking up certain items impossible. I also wasn't a huge fan of button mashing and having abilities that really didn't have that much power, but I did enjoy the experience overall regardless of these issues. I would recommend folks that are wanting to try out a Knight's Quest just be aware of the glitches and the style of combat. Other than that, I am going to let Rusty adventure on his own for a while.
