    9 Monkeys of Shaolin should be on every GOTY list for the excellent package the team has put together. The combat feels great, the art style and graphics look fantastic, and the voice acting and storyline were executed wonderfully. If beat 'em ups are your jam, or if you just want to have fun with a game, this should be a must-buy. Do yourself a favor and get into this incredible title.

    9 Monkeys of Shaolin on Xbox One is a great fighting game. Using the skills you learn, deploying the right attacks, dodging within a hair's breadth to allow you to attack faster; these are all great gameplay moments. The visuals do a superb job of showing what's happening, multiplayer on the couch is just as fast and furious (if you really want a challenge, turn friendly fire on), and the online multiplayer side of things - while suffering from a severe lack of players - works just as well.

    9 Monkeys of Shaolin is a pleasant surprise in a year full of beat 'em ups. This is not just another brawler, but one with an extensive skill tree, different fighting styles and a lot of fun gameplay. The game is playable in offline or online co-op and in both styles the game works flawlessly. There are a few bugs here and there, but nothing worth mentioning. If you like to fight, buy this game.

    9 Monkeys of Shaolin is a beat'em up that gathers the classic elements of the genre with a lot of novelties that make you feel great. In cooperative the title is superb.

    9 Monkeys of Shaolin is nothing more than what it sets out to be: a fun beat 'em up game filled with action and martial arts. It could use some more polish and variety, as well as better pacing throughout the levels, but what it lacks in does aspects, it makes up with fluid combat and a gameplay that is really fun to get into.

    9 Monkeys Of Shaolin - So after enjoying their Redeemer game so much I had high hopes for 9 Monkeys Of Shaolin. Needless to really say if you9 Monkeys Of Shaolin - So after enjoying their Redeemer game so much I had high hopes for 9 Monkeys Of Shaolin. Needless to really say if you read my review my expectations were met in full. The game was well worth the long anticipated wait to me personally.. After beginning 9 Monkeys on my Xbox One, I couldn't get enough of it. I truly felt like a man on a journey of a lowly fisherman after revenge to a Shaolin monk who is able to defeat any enemy in my path. Wonderfully stylized graphics, fitting the music tracks to a tee that adds to the immersivements, fluid gameplay that feels good and reacts well to the controls inputs. 9 Monkeys is one of the best examples of beat 'em ups on Xbox One and remains easy to pull of all espied attacks, parrying, and neatly combos while taking on groups of varied enemies that never felt more a-kin to the games design. As with Redeemer, 9 Monkeys has an RPG system but, it is deeper to where you can choose different weapons, charms and attacks; offering a more flexible approach to how you want to choose your fighting style. I hope 9 Monkeys is as successful as possible midst the covid pandemic and the flood of Xbox One releases this year. Sobaka Studios should definitely continue to make more excellent beat 'em ups because you can clearly see they have lots of passion for their games deign and excellent performance in the genre. They know how to make their games fun, addictive stylized gaming systems within a unique theme that also, plays fantastically on the Xbox controller. If 9 Monkeys has solid DLC in the near future, I will be downloading it as this is a game that shouldn't be overlooked and cost definitely deserves a spot in your Xbox One library.… Full Review »
