With a robust gameplay, nervous sequences and decent content, 8 To Glory show all the good intents Three Gates AB had when they shipped this game. Nevertheless, it’s technically weak and obviously repetitive.

8 to glory is a bad experience, afflicted by few contents and unjustified price in relation to the general quality of the game.

If you love the professional American bull riding league then you might just manage to get something out of 8 to Glory, but if you aren’t a veteran follower of the sport, then it’s a bit pricey to take a gamble on. It’s different though, and that should be wholeheartedly applauded, however I’m afraid the gameplay just becomes too repetitive for any long term bull riding fun.

It's been a long time since a bull riding game was released for console, but it was worth the wait! Having just played an hour or so I'll give it my initial impression in this review.

Pros: PBR's official game! This means you have all the riders and bulls from the PBR which makes it way more interesting.
Varied game modes: you can play both solo and with a friend (couch co-op)
Much faster and more fun action than the mobile version. More parameters to consider and more stats that can be improved as you progress in the game. (nice to feel the boost when you improve your gear).
The career mode seems to be really well done, following the actual PBR season. I've just completed a few steps here, but it will be one of the greater parts of this game. Looking forward to the next session so that I can dig even deeper.
Nice graphics for this price range of a game.
    Smooth controls.

Cons: Would like to have a more detailed overview of my stats when I am in an ongoing game.

Bargain price, so glad they didn't release this for 60 bucks. This makes it easy to convince friends to grab the game as well.

I picked up the game because I was bored and hadn't played a bull riding game before, but it's pretty cool to see guys get on those giant bulls and beat them. If you like sports in general, it's worth picking up. This game is really fun and if you haven't checked out the PBR yet, you should. I'm watching Youtube videos on bull riding because of this game. The presentation side of the game is actually pretty decent and I was pleased to see lots of details included in both the visuals and sound design.
I was pretty impressed with the career mode because it does have a certain amount of depth which in turn keeps things fresh and interesting for longer. You can play the game both on your own and in local co-op which does give the game quite a bit of replaybility. Technically the game holds up really well throughout and I was also pleased to learn that the controls that have been implemented hold up well as well There is an RPG formula to the game and in my opinion this RPG-like formula fails to hit the mark and isn’t really needed. Unfortunately there is no online components in the game, which is a shame because I think this game would’ve benefited a lot from online play.Does 8 to Glory do enough to get a recommendation from me I must admit I didn’t know much about the sport of bull riding, but after doing a bit of research I found it to be quite enjoyable and in the end I was actually looking forward to getting to grips with 8 to Glory. I’ll openly admit that I wasn’t expecting much from this game but what I ended up playing was something that provided me with a lot of fun and enjoyable moments. So If you’re anything like me then you’ll be a bit weary of purchasing the game at first but I fully recommend that you look past this weariness because what you get is a game that’s interesting and you also get a game that gets its important aspects spot on as well.
