A licensed simulation that provides the die-hard fans with everything they want, but also allows the newcomer to learn and build and even have a fun arcade thrash around some very pretty tracks? That seems a pretty good template to me. If the limited multiplayer was expanded upon slightly, it would be even better.

With WRC 4, Milestone has taken a big step forward. Both the graphics and the physics are much better here than in WRC 3 and the new Career Mode is good enough to entertain both expert and beginner players.

Thanks to a deep and convincing handling system WRC 4 gave players a solid racing experience. However, too simple and repetitive game modes and some technical issues, prevent the game from achieving excellence.

WRC: FIA World Rally Championship 4 delivers the usual solid, fun rally experience, packed with lots of content.

Well the driving is kinda of OK, there´s some driving aids in there that can be turned on and off and really have a big impact betwen a more arcade or simulation gameplay experience, and the graphics are not bad. BUT other than that, the rest of the game is a cheap experience. The sound effects are bad, the career mode is dull and boring, but the worst thing is, its suposed to be 13 Rally comptetions with 6 stages/courses each, wich should be 78 stages/courses total right? WRONG, in reallity its just like 20 or so original courses, the rest they just use the same stages on reverse or with some minor side road diference, even thou they use diferent names and try to pretend its an entirelly diferent new course. I mean how cheap is that??!!
SO i think this game is only worth buying on some 10$ sale. More than that is just a rip off.

I have no intention of buy a expensive steering wheel so my comments are based on the standard controller.

I have had some rally training from my friends so I want something that feels right
dirt 2 gives me bald tyres. sega rally likewise. I bought and discarded both. tried so many others as demo, all bad.
This one, very good. powerslides and handbrake turns work.
when traction is lost it feels about at the right conditions so learning is possible.
tracks are believable unlike the others which give me hugely wide tracks to compensate for the very bad tires they put on the car.
given a 2 meters clearance on a track in real life and doing 70 to 90 kph a 720 spin is possible.
real rally cars have fantastic grip and steering. career mode is enjoyable and there is a huge amount of it
