  1. The AI players choose to push hard with some strange hands that’ll keep you off-balance, but there’s lots to do in the single-player game, and all that fun playing others in multiplayer.
  2. Undoubtedly better than "Texas Hold ‘Em," the Xbox 360’s only other poker game.
  3. Good varied tournaments, and its fun to see the pros in the game.
  4. It has a great single-player game to partner with the online experience. Plus, the Digimask technology is really showcased in this title, making it a must for Xbox Live Vision camera owners.

But these hiccups are easily overlooked--with high replay value and strong presentation, Tournament of Champions is a fine bet at $40. [Holiday 2006, p.87]

If you dislike terrible graphics, slow gameplay and annoying voice acting, do yourself a favour and buy a pack of cards and get your friends If you dislike terrible graphics, slow gameplay and annoying voice acting, do yourself a favour and buy a pack of cards and get your friends over. Ok, the less extreme option would be to download the xbox live texas Hold 'Em. It takes an exciting card game and dresses it up in a 3d environment... that would be ok, except for the 3D masking is pretty poor (your face will scan in nicely, but you'll have to live with looking like your head is hanging off by it's neck) you'll find the players constantly sneezing, YES SNEEZING! Why on earth did they put this in? Absolutely awful. It does have a variety of scenarios and tutorials that will give a beginner player a leg-up into playing a tournament, but the games go by so slowliy that I just went back to playing the xbox live version.. I'll give it 3 points as it does have a bit of depth, but it's ruined by shoddy presentation and sluggish gameplay. Full Review »

I never expected so much from a $29.95 game. The Poker Tools are great, and Lon and Norman make it easy to feel you're really at the WSOP.
