It's quite remarkable that a monster hit such as World of Tanks has managed to adapt so easily from the PC to the Xbox 360 ecosystem. It's like Wargaming's tank game should have been a console game in the first place.

Wargaming took a chance with World of Tanks for Xbox 360 and at this point, they should consider the venture a success. The game is fun and fast-paced, perfect for when you only have a few free minutes for gaming. It's intuitive to learn, offers a wide range of good-looking tanks, multiple maps, and a free-to-play setup that skillfully levels the playing field whether players have more time or more money. Best of all, (and despite a few interface issues) with World of Tanks 360, Wargaming's created the kind of all-inclusive game that appeals to competitive gamers regardless of platform.

It's worth your time to take these tanks out for a test drive.

It would be wrong to consider World of Tanks Xbox 360 Edition as repetition or a simplified copy of the PC-version. A good port of a very good free to play game. World of Tanks is a tactical and slow paced game, a thing that makes it particularly unique in the Xbox 360 ecosystem.

WoT for Xbox 360 singlehandedly revives my love for console gaming. I hope you’re a quick learner because how fast you unlock new tanks is directly correlated to how well you do in game. I could see this small community catching some flak from their more passionate seniors on WoT Windows, but it’s redesigned well with the Xbox community in mind.

This Xbox 360 version of World of Tanks is quite the same... with a little bit less content, yes, but it is still very fun to play. Oh, and it is also free to play, so that's a good deal.

If all you want to do is smash things in a virtual toy box full of hyper-detailed tanks, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is the kind of game that you can pick up and play for a few minutes before putting it back down.

Wargaming West did a great job bringing the tanks to the comfort of your couch. The gameplay and shooting feel the same as they do on the PC. It has smooth and easy controls on Xbox 360 indeed. However, it struggles with the lack of diversity of maps and content.

It works well on consoles. Unfortunately it suffers from mediocre visuals, complicated UI and little content at this point – especially when you compare it to the PC version.

If you’re looking for a no-frills multiplayer experience without the overblown pomp of something like Call of Duty or Battlefield, World of Tanks offers a drop-in, instant access alternative that may not be revolutionary, but is purposefully angled towards a very particular market.

This isn't my kind of genre at the best of times, and I don't think it's the finest example of the genre, not as long as its core potential - to offer strategic combat - is ruined by obnoxious players. But I do think this is a well-crafted game and it's a fair call to say it's the finest attempt at a serious, "hardcore", free-to-play experience out there is probably justified.

This is a solid version that's well worth the download for Xbox live gold members. Compared to the PC game it lacks too many features, though, and technologically it is far behind as well.

It needs work in terms of visuals and could do with some more maps and game types, but World Of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition ticks all the boxes that it needs to. Add in the free-to-play aspect and you’re left with a game that’s more than worth a spin – just don’t expect to use your brain too much.

As far as free-to-play games with premium add-ons go, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition does very little wrong.

World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition is limited in features right now, but is rich in potential. It's not a well-oiled machine yet, but it's still fun to take for a spin. Given that it costs absolutely nothing to climb aboard, it's hard not to recommend.
