  1. Triggerheart Exelica is one of the best XBLA games I've played on the 360, so if you like vertical shooters of old and new; if Radiant Silvergun, Parodius or Do Don Pachi mean anything to you; or if you enjoyed the recent Omega Five, you'll be perfectly at home with Triggerheart Exelica.
  2. A breath of fresh air to see a vertical scrolling shooter that actually adapts to the players skill set.
  3. Despite the glaring flaw of a cramped field of play, there’s no denying that Triggerheart Exelica is still a blast to play. Nonstop action teamed up with unique gameplay elements and easy to use controls make this just the game to please those of you longing for a good ol’ fashioned space shooter.

I enjoyed Triggerheart, but the game's length is both a good and bad thing -- it has only five levels, and most players will be able to beat them all in about 30 minutes.

On one hand you have a bright, colorful, highly addictive shooter that'll flex those twitch gaming muscles a bit. On the other hand the game is very short, and if you're not a hardcore fan of the genre, and don't care about leaderboard rankings and hunting down Achievement points, then there won't be any incentive for you to bother with the game after completing it once.

The art style of the playable characters is stellar, the different play styles each one has adds variety to the game, and the core game play itself is simple yet extremely challenging. The emphasis here is all about the movement, finding patters in the enemy attacks, and maneuvering yourself around them and going for the kill shot. The music in this game is super catchy too and is bound to get stuck in your head! Playing this game with an arcade stick is like the ultimate way to get as close as you can to the arcade experience. Check this one out if you are into arcade shoot-em-up's for sure, this one is super fun and challenging! Full Review »

Although it obviusly can't compete with a masterpiece like Ikaruga it is still fun and makes the waiting for PR RS II easier. A major flaw of this DC port is that you can't save your Score and Settings, there's only an online leaderboard and some achievements. But the greatest let down are the missing multiplayer modes (don't know if the original had)!!! Even though I'm a big fan of bullet hell shooters I have to admit that Warashi could've done better. This way I can't give more than still good 7 points (if I weren't a big fan of the Genre I would've given less). Full Review »
