    Legends of the Masters dips into the sport's past, drawing on the power of its players and its history for one of the PGA Tour's best new features in recent years. Much of the rest of the additions, however, have little or no impact. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is decent, but do we really need another EA golf game?

    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 is the best golf game on consoles but is far from being perfect, with few additions to the formula that introduce new problems. The game needs a deep reboot to shine again!

    The smart online modes and novelty of Legends Of The Majors do enough to justify a sequel, in what's a solid if unspectacular edition of the long-running Tiger Woods series.

    Tiger Woods 14 continues the EA Sports trend of iterating a winning formula, presenting a solid package which people will flock to buy, just like last year and the year before that. EA have made the right move by downplaying the Tiger part of Tigers Woods 14 but sadly we still see an awful lot of DLC and very little in the way of pushing the franchise forward to new heights. If you are a fan of the franchise then you know what you are getting with a new version and if you are a newbie then this is as good a place as any to start.

    Still an excellent game of golf. I am a huge fan of the new Legends of the Majors modes. It has a ton of content and is one of the better pick up and play modes in a sports game. Although not a major update, if you’re in the mood for more golf or may have missed a couple of Tiger Woods outings, this is a great one to jump back into.

    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 isn’t a bad game but a particular lack of attention to detail and several glitchy errors temper what marginal improvements there are over previous versions. The new features that are here are the typical EA “fresh coat of paint” that many of their sports games receive.

    To EA’s credit, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 --like all the PGA Tour games before it-- is still a very good game. But perhaps the imminent next generation of consoles will see the series receiving the overhaul it needs.

    This year's effort comprises a lot of recycled, poorly implemented and buggy content, some of which is locked behind a pay-to-bypass grind wall. You can't charge 50 quid for that. [Issue#97, p.68]

It falls just a tad short because it doesn't actually PLAY any differently regardless of how the clubs are named.

    All the standard modes are back from the last 75 Tiger Woods games so it does feel a bit "samey" and like they are running out of ideas with what to do

    Career Mode is still way too easy to become number 1 at and the Fed Ex cup ranking is a joke because realistically golfers win 2 or 3 tournaments a year but your created golfer can win tons.

    Winning tournaments ti unlock gear is kinda fun but does away with making money through the season interesting at all. Since you don't buy your gear with money made from tournaments, the money is irrelevant now

    Online play is cool but to not include courses that are part of the 2013 season without paying an extra fee seems like a cheap moneygrab and makes it seem like an unfinished game as my created golfer had to repeat a course or skip it all together which is frustrating,

    What I really want in these Tiger Woods games is the chance to play and watch computer controlled players that are part of my tee time for each individual round. It would make the game feel less lonely offline and make you feel part of a tour of players more than just one guy goin around a course.

    If my tee time is scheduled with Mickelson and Poulter, I want to have to option to play the round with them as NPC's dang it

    All in all though it is fun enough and buying a Tiger Woods game once every 2 or 3 years isnt a bad idea    … Full Review »

What they have done with draws/fades, penal roughs, and smooth putting finally makes you feel like you are in between the ropes of the PGA Tour. The Connected Tournaments add much needed life to live tourneys allowing you to play either with a group of friends or strangers. Graphics are improved, the Legends are a nice historical add-on including the ability to play the Augusta National course as it was in 1934. This version has the potential to be the best TW game ever in it's run going back to PS1 days. A must purchase for the golf fan, the simulation fan, or anyone with an interest in getting away from blowing things up and just having a nice relaxing stroll with some friends.… Full Review »

Added Simulation mode which is the same as last year's controls except you move your joystick diagonal instead of vertically. Added a a few new courses. Online play is riddled with bugs such as wrong stats, bad camera angles, no tags showing who is shooting. There is no new commentary. It's not worth 60 or 70 bucks.… Full Review »
