Aug 22, 2012A short, stupid, bite-sized treat. Like a bag of Funyuns, it's good for a while, but you can only take so much. The game's biggest shortfall is the fact that it rings up at a whopping $15, which is probably about $10 more than I would be willing to pay for the quality it delivers.

Oct 17, 2012Poor gameplay, uncertain graphics, terrifying voice-over and a problematic control-schema: considering the intolerable lack of Chuck Norris, rejection is the only choice.
-
Aug 30, 2012Like the movie, The Expendables 2 video game is shallow, and focused on but one thing : brutal combats with millions of bullets flying. The only problem is that as it may be fun to watch in a 1 hour and a half movie, it's far from being fun to play for 3 and half hours, even cooperatively, especially with such low production values.

Aug 30, 2012Could it be a hilarious addition to a boozy Friday night gaming session with mates? You betcha. Would I want to rip my hair out in frustration more than half the time? Sure would. It is still seriously flawed and bound to infuriate a lot of gamers out there. For those who are more of a glass half full kind of guy (or gal), can let niggling flaws slide, and like minimum exposition, this will be right up your alley. Just know exactly what you're in for.

Aug 30, 2012Level- and mission-design are incredibly boring, the technical foundation is gruesome. Even if you replace the AI-idiots with human friends, the entertainment value is not worth mentioning.

Hyper MagazineOct 8, 2012This is worthless, rote action, done much better elsewhere. [Nov 2012, p.78]
-
Aug 18, 2012It's often difficult to tell where your character's bullets are heading and sometimes tough to see if environmental elements are being affected by your gunfire, both of which are vital in a shooter.
-
Aug 16, 2012A shooting game that fails to understand how a Shoot'em Up works. If you fail with the most basic core of your game mechanic, it says enough about your game.
-
Aug 24, 2012If Chuck Norris can count to infinity twice in less than two months, Ubisoft and Zootfly Studios clearly needed more time to offer a game as good as The Expendables 2 could be on screen. Because in the end, we are facing a boring title that offers an old-fashioned production and a game that's full of bugs, rough gameplay, a repetitive soundtrack and a ridiculously short game length that players won't enjoy in any way, shape or form.

X-ONE Magazine UKOct 11, 2012Playing The Expendables 2 is like playing a port of Cannon Fodder coded by a dog while the entire population of America shouts at you. It's horrible. [Issue#90, p.87]
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKOct 2, 2012A disaster even by movie-game standards. [Nov 2012, p.107]
