Dec 25, 2021The good:
Music
Gameplay (3d sonic)
Good level design
The bad:
2D sonic (control like ass compared to sonic mania, feels chunky )
Bugs ( like clipping through the ground in some areas)
A little bit overrated -

Apr 25, 2021A pretty good Sonic game. The best 3D Sonic game by a long shot, which isn't saying much.

Jun 28, 2022Sorry, but the boost formula will never capture the same spirit as the Adventure games for me. I definitely see the appeal and it's fun in its own way, but it doesn't evoke the same feelings.

Apr 28, 2014A great game, makes me happy everyday
the is a simple story and sometimes ilogic
But the gameplay is perfect
The Music and Soundtrack are just Remixes, but never disappoint me
The graphics are awesome
Is short, but is a good game -

Jul 4, 2019I didn't really finish the entire game since I don't have it anymore, but it was fun. The boost formula is at a high point, and the visuals are pretty nice, but the story is lacking, and Classic Sonic didn't control as good as in the original games, but you have to play as both Modern and Classic Sonic to finish the game. It's still enjoyable, but it's not the best SEGA has to offer.

Mar 1, 2019It's the best 3d sonic game, and even though that's not saying much, what this game acomplishes is to show that you can make the boost formula of the game work in an envoirment with multiple pathways and complex plataforms. Sure, this game borrows a lot of its identity from previous games and the classic sections are not the best, but it's still a good journey to be had.

May 7, 2023Great sonic overall, i did hate the history and a lot of characters that didn't need to be there, the classic Sega Genesis sonic is also played on 4:3 for no apparent reason, the final boss is just boring, but all the rest of the game is incredible, just a great sonic with both of the styles built on the franchise in well done stages.

Sep 2, 2023Really great, gets kinda repetitive after awhile, but still good. Love all the references and call backs to old sonic games and the classic sonic mechanic is cool!

Dec 11, 2011Sonic Generations lets you play as two different Sonics, one from the present and one from the past. The first levels are fantastic, but the level design soon gets dull. The time trials and the music is good though.

Pelit (Finland)Dec 9, 2011It's somewhat short and the boss battles are truly awful, but otherwise Sonic Generations is a solid platformer. Revisiting old levels is nostalgic and having two Sonics to control is a nice touch. [Dec 2011]
