Feb 20, 2013Since this isn't your usual Sam Stone outing and not even your usual platform shooter, it may seem like a risk at first, but once you play it, you'll be hooked on Serious Sam DD XXL. At 800MSP… this is one of those games that just, feels right.

Feb 18, 2013Double D was one of 2012's most pleasant surprises, a budget-priced promotional title that managed the unthinkable and outdid the game it was designed to get people excited about. Normally I'd be in favour of leaving well enough alone, but Mommy's Best Games has taken everything that worked about Double D and built something even more spectacular on top of it.

Feb 19, 2013DD XXL is more than an expansion; it’s a downloadable title that delivers its worth ten times over.
-
Feb 20, 2013The 2D-action is crazy, there are lots of secrets to be discovered and Sam's humour is back to its old glory.
-
Feb 18, 2013The Gunstacker system offers an impressive variety of ways to throw bits of metal around at incredible speeds, and the enemy and level designs are (mostly) as creative as you’re going to see this year. It’s not too big on plot, but you’ll probably be too busy using ridiculous guns to mow down waves of grotesque enemies to care.
-
May 28, 2013In the end, it's best to think of Serious Sam Double D XXL as a "director's cut" of the original game. It's not perfect, but it is a noticeable upgrade from what we saw on the PC in 2011.
