Having all 3 of them for 10 bucks, packaged in a really good version full of bonuses (online play, challenge mode, achievements, Version selection (euro/US/JAP), a good graphics filter and a jukebox mode) is almost a Dream. The only lack of this collection is the lack of master syster/gamegear versions of the games, but it's not that much annoying.… Expand

Each of the games hasYou get three of the greatest side-scrolling beat 'em ups of all time for one low price and with a few sweet extras. Each of the games has aged surprisingly well. Their simplistic action still holds appeal and the soundtracks are just as fantastic as ever. The first two games suffer from slow movement horizontally and vertically. It's only really an issue during certain boss fights. Especially in the second game where some of them can attack outside of their lanes. Pretty unfair if you ask me.
   
   The third game in the series is easily the most fluid of the bunch thanks to the faster movements between lanes. It's widely regarded to be the worst of the three though due to the problems with the difficulty being higher in the American version of the game. Luckily this package fixes that by making it possible to play the original Japanese versions of each title. Making Streets of Rage 3 easier and letting you bypass all of that pesky censorship.
   
   Personally, I prefer the first Streets of Rage. It might not have the extra characters or complexity of its sequels, but there's something about its straightforward approach that I feel was lost in the follow ups. The biggest issue I have with it is that some of the bosses are a little unbalanced. The same can be said of SoR2 as well.
   
   Overall, this is a great way to experience these classics for the first time. Being able to save at any time not only makes the games more forgiving, but also means you won't have to beat them in one sitting in order to not risk losing all of your progress. Longtime fans might find the ability to play the different regional versions and the other handful of bonuses worth revisiting the series for. Whatever the case, this is a great package that offers the best way to play three seriously awesome games.… Expand

You get all 3 Streets of Rage. Good value, however, Streets of Rage copies extensively from Final Fight (Final Fight was released in 1989 and Streets of Rage in 1991) and Final Fight does it better in my opinion. If you are on the hill about purchasing this, go ahead and do it if you are a fan of side-scrolling fighting games, otherwise, wait until Xbox Live has it on sale.… Expand

   Agreeing with Polish_Infidels review of this, They are copies of Final Fight, But, don't get me wrong great games and I remember playing themAgreeing with Polish_Infidels review of this, They are copies of Final Fight, But, don't get me wrong great games and I remember playing them in my early childhood.
   
   Graphics- The graphics in the 2nd and 3rd game always have been good and they don't really look different in the Vintage Collection, However the first one looks old and hasn't aged well in my opinion 6/10.
   
   Sound design-Let's be honest here. The sound design in these games are amazing, Just amazing. I honestly play go on to the game sometimes just for the songs I just love them. 9/10(based on biased opinions let me know you're opinion.
   
   Story- Well as for a story there isn't much to say, Sadly like most early 90's games story is saved for RPG's this is no exception. The only real story is that you have to defuse bomb and kill villain. That's It. 2/10
   
   Controls-The controls I think improve on the original MegaDrive (or genesis') controls as you can also change them and perform fairly faster However, It's a matter of opinion how you feel about them.7/10
   
   Character design- The characters are ok but you'll spend most of you're time playing as either Axle or Blaze (exception of Adam in the first game) the rest of the characters are pretty unbalanced. 5/10
   
   Does the game make a good beat-em-up? I think it makes a decent beat-em-up Adding few of it's own features. Like many Sega games it's just a copy of a Nintendo game (I'm aware final fight was made by Capcom but it was on a Nintendo console) But apart from that nostalgia saves the day and earns it a 5/10 (Ok)… Expand
