Apr 19, 2011Section 8: Prejudice is a must-own XBLA title.
-
Apr 21, 2011Overall, Prejudice is a vast improvement over the original with new modes to experience, polished controls and an even deeper customization system. If you're looking for a fun time alone or to share with some friends, for $15 you really can't go wrong here.
-
Apr 20, 2011Considering everything you get with this title -- a solid single player campaign, a diverse multiplayer suite, and just plain fun shooter gameplay -- Section 8: Prejudice is a steal at $15. Just get to it before Nic Cage ruins it.
-
Apr 19, 2011Were it not for the outdated visuals and functional presentation, Prejudice would easily be worth a full-price purchase. It is, quite simply, the best multiplayer shooter since Battlefield: Bad Company 2. As a budget digital download, it's ridiculously good value.
-
Apr 19, 2011It's not perfect, but we highly recommend this title to all FPS fans looking for something fresh to bide the time.
-
Jun 12, 2011While it definitely has a "something borrowed" gameplay and visual style, and a instantly forgettable, brief single-player mode, its invigorating and intense Xbox Live multiplayer at such a well-worth-it bargain price provides gamers more than enough incentive to enlist into Section 8: Prejudice's call of duty.
-
Apr 25, 2011The gameplay is engaging (if not completely problem free), the presentation is quite fitting and the multiplayer components are excellent. Feel free to go Section 8 on your wallet and buy this game with extreme Prejudice. You won't be sorry.
-
Apr 20, 2011Overall, Section 8: Prejudice is quite the surprise. This is a lot of game for 1200 MS Points. TimeGate is promising that it plans to release further DLC on an "aggressive" schedule, but in the meantime get some friends together, hop online, and start blasting.
-
CD-ActionJul 1, 2011The first word that comes to my mind when I think of Prejudice is 'solid'. Every element of this game was executed at least well (the Swarm mode, audio and graphics) and some of them really stand out (like the Conquest mode and Dynamic Combat Missions). [June 2011, p.60]
-
May 26, 2011Though Prejudice repeats what most of us missed in the first go-round, it's still an original, must-play multiplayer game, and we'd love to see it take off this time. [July 2011, p.80]
-
May 25, 2011Section 8: Prejudice offers a fun set of shooter mechanics, with a complete campaign and robust multiplayer package without costing you a full $60.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKMay 22, 2011Looks generic, but hides happy complexity. [July 2011, p.118]
-
May 19, 2011For $15, you get a campaign that's on par with retail games in terms of length and quality. You also get a solid multiplayer title with a good amount of maps and modes. All of this comes together with a solid technical package that combines some fresh elements with tried-and-true gameplay.
-
May 11, 2011People looking for the next Halo will most likely come away disappointed, as will anyone hoping for a solid single-player experience. But those of you who are up for something a little bit different and more thoughtful will find a lot to appreciate in Section 8: Prejudice.
-
May 10, 2011Unlike a lot of other console shooters, Section 8: prejudice offers the possibility to play matches of 16 versus 16 players. With this option the game fills a hole in the market. Aside from that, the gameplay just works and every game varies from the other due to the addition of Dynamic Combat Missions alongside the standard assignments.
-
May 9, 2011Little touches like the DCMs and base-building elements help keep the action fresh, and the frenetic Conquest mode offers plenty of replay value. For a budget title, Section 8: Prejudice offers a lot of content. It doesn't rank alongside the Call of Dutys and Battlefields of the world, but it's worth a look for FPS fans itching for a new experience.
-
May 4, 2011Considering its incredibly high quality-price ratio, Section 8: Prejudice can easily be defined as one of the best FPS on the market. Some blockbusters devs should seriously learn from Timegate.
-
Apr 30, 2011With its level of variety and solid grasp of the fundamentals, it's more than worth its price. It may not be doing anything new, but what it does do, it does quite well.
-
Apr 26, 2011Even though some of it feels familiar, there's enough new here to keep you coming back for more.
-
Apr 26, 2011Prejudice won't completely reshape the way you think about online shooters or alter the multiplayer landscape forever, but it doesn't intend to. What it does do is deliver a feature-heavy, high energy experience that'll satisfy shooter fans craving a new addiction. All for a measly 1200 points.
-
Apr 22, 2011Despite the matchmaking quibbles and the occasionally stilted friendly AI, Section 8: Prejudice is a tremendous package, one that easily keeps up with -- and in some cases surpasses -- the retail competition.
-
Apr 20, 2011Those willing to look past a few flaws will have a lot of fun with Section 8: P, at a budget price.
-
Apr 20, 2011Section 8 Prejudice brings to the table a unique shooter, with an MMO shooter feel. Players that are looking for something a little slower paced than a twitch shooter, something that requires teamwork to succeed should enlist when the game releases on the 20th April.
-
May 10, 2011Section 8: Prejudice is a highly recommended title to all FPS fans looking for something fresh to bide.
-
Jul 1, 2011Section 8: Prejudice is a worthy title for online shooter fans but won't really hold many players over with its single player campaign.
-
Apr 26, 2011Section 8: Prejuice is definitely a good online FPS, better than the prequel in every aspect. Single player campaign and multiplayer certainly have much to offer, despite many imperfections.
-
May 4, 2011If you are already tired of Halo Reach, try Section 8 – Prejudice. It is a really good alternative and is a lot of fun in the multiplayer mode.
-
Apr 21, 2011If Prejudice was only a multiplayer or a single-player affair, it wouldn't be much to talk about, especially considering the short campaign. The fact that it offers both does give some solace, coupled by the more-than-reasonable fifteen dollar asking price.
-
Apr 20, 2011If you liked Section 8 or you just fancy a cheap, traditional shooter with a few neat gimmicks thrown in, then Section 8: Prejudice will deliver the goods with efficiency, if not with flair.
-
Apr 20, 2011Section 8: Prejudice explores well-worn territory, but a smart campaign and volatile competitive mode make this shooter rise above its generic aesthetic.
-
Apr 28, 2011Doesn't feel like a true upgrade to the original, and there's plenty of room for improvement. But with a lengthier single player campaign, action-packed multiplayer battles, and the promise of more game modes in the near future, all for the bargain price of fifteen dollars (and no need to waste gas to pick it up), there's certainly enough incentive to add it to your repertoire.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKJun 25, 2011Enjoyably frenetic war zone action. [July 2011, p.100]
-
Games Master UKJun 4, 2011Halo's a great game to homage, but not to this lawyer-baiting extent. The clone bores. [July 2011, p.95]
-
May 5, 2011If you simply can't get enough first person Halo inspired shooters though, you will find some redeemable elements in Section 8: Prejudice.
-
games(TM)May 22, 2011As a download release, it has exactly the same flaws. [Issue#109, p.118]
-
X-ONE Magazine UKMay 20, 2011Way better than the original game, this offers some more than solid online FPS action. [Issue#72, p.85]
-
Edge MagazineMay 8, 2011As a follow-up to Section 8, it delivers much the same experience as its predecessor, albeit repackaged in a more wallet-friendly, downloadable form. [June 2011, p.94]
-
May 3, 2011Sure, Section 8: Prejudice can be entertaining i small doses, but it just lacks the depth to last in the long run.
-
Apr 20, 2011Prejudice certainly does a lot – it just doesn't do very much well.
-
Apr 20, 2011It's only too bad this series can't get out of its own way at times, because there are moments when it's pure fun and others that feel at odds with the rest of the package.
