Sometimes I think Rockstar could put out a game called Colon Explosion: Sticky Log Edition and people would rate it highly. This game isn't even on par with Pong, due to the lack of a Paddle Controller. More than that, table tennis is something you play when you're a dirt-poor college student, not pay $39 for. Avoid this garbage, unless you're related to Forrest Gump.

If you love Table Tennis, you have to play this game, plain and simple. This game is perfect to play against mates both competitively and for fun. 10/10 from me.

For once, a game by Rockstar Games doesn't feature hookers, grandmas, and policemen getting murdered. And it's an okay game. It's a game that you'll only play once or twice at the most every two months, but while you play you'll be engrossed and while there's a limited player choice and the graphics are average, it's still a fun sports game to revisit again and again.

Hmm its difficult to give a fair review of this game as i haven't really played many sports games. As a table tennis game it does exactly what it says on the tin but the lack of career mode does make the game a little limited. Even with the live options it only held my attention for a few games which isnt necessarily the result of a poor game its down to the people on live itself Hmm its difficult to give a fair review of this game as i haven't really played many sports games. Pretty fun game here. I haven't played it much, but I can see it has some depth. Graphics are not special and I have trouble distinguishing between yellow and green spin. But I played 1 game online and had a blast.

Almost flawless. Doesn't try and be anything other than it is. It contains that moreish factor that is missing from so many games at the moment. Just when you think you've played it to death for three hours straight online, and you turn off your xbox for some real human interaction, you will find yourself going over the last game you played in your head and ironing out flaws! Within minutes you'll realise that it was because you were playing to your opponents strengths or not playing offensive enough, and on goes the xbox again, ready for another marathon bout of topspin smashes, outrageous net calls, and 100+ rallies that actually have you shouting at the tv!! If ever there was a cast-iron endorsement for Xbox Live, then this is it. More fun than should be allowed, and certain to become the biggest online game for some time to come. If you want a recommendation, then my friends have all decided to buy Xbox 360s just for this game, it's that good, and even more addictive!! Expand

Wow, what a sleeper hit. For $39, you can't go wrong. The control scheme is very easy, but also letting you make it technical if you want it. The nice thing is that the really great players online will win more points than you, but don't let this frustrate you only because you would be surprised how much of a ralley you can have until your opponent finally tries to finish the Wow, what a sleeper hit. The training is very simple, short, and it definitely helps. If your fingers are getting a workout, try the right anolog which takes the place of the y,x,b, and a buttons. The reason I don't give this game a perfect 10 is because you can't build your own characters. I think the next version will definitely have it once the rockstar team knows what a success this game is. I know it's premature to say this, but the reviews have been outstanding. YES, THERE WILL BE LOW SCORES, BUT THESE ARE PROBABLY THE PEOPLE WHO GET LOW POINTS AND ARE IMPATIENT OF TRYING TO LEARN THE GAME. The nice feature is that you can unlock many venues and many professionals. The replay feature is also absolutely amazing. Expand

Very fun game. I have a played a lot of table tennis in my life and this game does a credible job of simulating the experience. Very easy to learn but hard to master. Lots of fun to play 2 person offline too. Congrats to Rockstar - Well Done!

While not an XBox 360 AAA title, this proves what can be done if you make a game FUN rather than try to cram every available graphical trick into it. This is a game that has enthralled me and friends and is so simple to pick up and so hard to put down. One of the greater sleeper hits and a real smash from Rockstar (pun intended)

Not two bad Rockstar.. Unlike other offerings where police, grandmas, and hookers get rough treatment, only a ping pong ball get hurt here. Great job, fun as heck!

Beautiful for what it is; an addictive, online, gets-the-competitive-juices flowing, FUN game to play. And after all, it is a GAME, right? Fun wins the day for me.

Ummm... really nothing special... I dont understand what all of the hype is all about - Thje graphics are good but boring... gameplay is like watered down top spin on a crappy table... I really dont like this game and I kinda like it even less for all of the hype associated with it - Top Spin 2 is better... avoid this crap.

I've never played table tennis (not that I ever wanted to) and have to admit that this game is a alot of fun. I've only played one tournament on singleplayer and I'm really impressed with the graphics, physics, replays, etc. Hands off to Rockstar for making such a great non-GTA game!

It's a game. It's a pure, simple game. It's fun to play online. It's fun to learn, and to play against CPU opponents. Good: best graphics in any game...EVER; only $40; Seriously intense; good party game; simple controlls; character facial expressions and actions make you actually love or hate some of them. Bad: only $40 of game; very short; no character creator; can sometimes be frustrating. Suggestion: Worth buying.

Table Tennis is wicked fun. I respect Rockstar for offering us a title unlike anything they normally publish. If it to rebound from the controversy surrounding them, so be it. Table Tennis seems like something "I" may enjoy, but it looks to simple and repetitive. Repetitve, maybe so. For I must say after a good amount of tournaments you become finished for a while. But it does not mean you will not come back, craving more of the addictive gameplay style which TT has to offer. A simple spin and smack of virtually any key will return your ball to the other court, for rallies going on for what seems like forever. The difficulty is fantastic, as beginners can jump right in and move up the ladder of succes to rival the all-star cup. for single players, do not expect much replay value after obtaining the host of unlockables, as the only true advantage is containing that little gen we called Xbox Live. TT is fun as hell, and can be enjoyed for years, as it seems. Though the enjoyment is only temporary for single plays, multiplayer excels and makes this an almost must buy for sports fans and multiplayer fans alike. So simplistic even grandma can enjoy in a match. it is the next gen Pong, and we should all adore it. Expand

A good title. Great physics and realism and a very accurate rendering of table tennis. Fantastic to play with you mates at parties, and sometimes good fun on your own. But be aware, this game won't keep you occupied for long. Well worth picking up for £8 at Gamestation, though.

Great graphics and somewhat fun gameplay. Lack of characters (or create-a-player) takes away from the replay value and in the end - it's ping pong for crying out loud....Worth a rent. Not worth the buy - even at $50 canadian.

It'll be 5 years, if ever, until a Kinect game can rival the gripping, true Arcade-simulation joy that is Rockstar Table Tennis...you need a friend or two to play With, as the Xbox Live community is dead,
but it's not hard getting People hooked on this....it's a game that hides nothing, pure table tennis and
one of the best and intuitive head-2-head game of this generation

If you are looking for diverse gameplay, look elsewhere. This game delivers fully on mechanics being easy to learn but hard to master. Fast pace, coupled with that simple hypnotic charm and surprisingly good looking for a 10 year old game. The right analogue stick to control your spin and power feels extremely natural. And if nothing else, you can find this game now for less than $5 in most cases, worth it, try it out! Expand

I'm not a huge fan of table tennis but oh man this game is so much fun you the music intensifies as you go and it just gets you get into the man you get really into the game and it's fun and you always try to think of new ways to to beat the computer when you're trying to either do a forehand or a backhand or put a spin on it or whatever it's just awesome game

  1. It's the sign of a great sports game when you can't think of anything you'd want to change in the next version. It doesn't need another version...This is brilliant, whichever way you spin it.

If you want a table tennis game that's strictly focused on great mechanics and addictive gameplay, but that lacks a reasonable single-player mode and is shockingly sparse, Rockstar Presents Table Tennis is your game.
  3. As a pure videogame there's nothing on Microsoft's next-generation format to touch it in terms of instant accessibility, rewarding depth and immensely entertaining and addictive gameplay - maybe it's not a sports sim, but more a spiritual successor to the legendary PONG.
