  1. A little more challenge to the puzzles and a little less emphasis on realism in the physics department would have helped make RoboBlitz a better game.
  2. 70
The main problem with RoboBlitz, even without the little hitches, is that the game isn't very exciting. The puzzles aren't terribly intricate or deep and the little enemies that are tossed at you feel a bit forced.
  3. RoboBlitz is easily the most ambitious game released for the Xbox Live Arcade so far, and it's an impressive 3D platformer in its own right.
  4. 70
At its core, the game is founded on a terrific physics engine that makes for an enjoyable sci-fi puzzle-solving romp.
  5. The presentation is fine, and RoboBlitz's sheer challenge factor will probably attract serious platformer fans. It's frustrating, though, and all the moreso when a seemingly simple task just refuses to work for no good reason.
  6. I found it to be a great-looking game that has some fun challenges—but more often than not ended up being unbalanced and frustrating.
  7. While not as essential as a title like Geometry Wars, Roboblitz can still be a charming and enjoyable experience, definitely setting new precedents for future Arcade releases. However at times it feels a little too much like an Unreal Engine 3 tech-demo than a game in its own right.
  8. Part action game and part puzzle game. While it isn’t the best at either genre, it is a rather entertaining but short and expensive game. If the multiplayer and other content is released at no cost, I reserve the right to revise my feelings accordingly.

I was a little disappointed when I finally bought this game.

The camera was fine, I don't know what Andyman was talking about. The main problem was the control. Not the controls; the button layout made sense and everything, that was fine. But the overall tactile experience of controlling Blitz was sluggish and imprecise enough to be extremely frustrating, especially in situations where maneuvering was key, like the boss fights.
That's the other thing that bothered me. I was expecting a puzzle game, but was fine with some fights and simple combat. But they made combat too hard. Enemies in general are placed poorly for a puzzle/platformer, and some of them have way too much health for the level of combat this game should have. More than 1/3 of the levels were straight boss fights, with some strategy, but not puzzle solving. And those levels together took just as long as the rest of the game, only were far more frustrating.
I haven't mentioned the pros, though, and there are plenty. Cool style, nice puzzles, cool upgrades, great graphics (hard to believe it's less than 50 megs). It's a really fun puzzle game. But the baffling overemphasis on combat, combined with the frustratingly sluggish controls really spoil a game that could have been just great fun.
