This game is a very poor fishing sim when you really think how perfect fishing could be simulated with motion controls. Apart from casting,This game is a very poor fishing sim when you really think how perfect fishing could be simulated with motion controls. Apart from casting, and I'm being generous on that too, this game is an epic fail. It starts off with a bad menu. If you have played other kinect games you will know what to do but this games menues aren't as intuitive and kid friendly as all other kinect peer games. Even your avatar ghost can block the menu and confuse oneself. Gameplay: terrible. You cast, then hook. This is reasonable; but then to fight the fish you do the weirdest poses almost as if this was a dance game. For super points you can choose hard to easy moves but cmon is this "fishing?" or "strike a pose"?? Certainly it's not a fishing sim. To mix it up you have boat races and now I ask why are all these kinect games about collecting coins on a path? (Mario brothers). On top of that Wii like graphics and avatars. At the end of the day it's embarrassing that most if not all Microsoft kinect games were not truly inspired motion simulation games they were an evil creation that mimicked Wii games hoping to capture market share. Games like this are truly gross for what they represent. The only saving grace of this game is that it does encourage fitness to some extent even if it isn't really fishing the game has a bit of purpose to it. The only other positive is that this game does not creepily capture your image and store it in a photo album when compared to some other kinect games. Overall this is a rapala game but it could have been done much better with a better corporate vision. Expand
