    Raiden Fighters Aces is a shooter fans dream come true. It packs all three Raiden Fighters games in one disc and offers three different game modes for each title. Throw in a training mode and a ton of options and you get one incredible gaming experience.

Fans of the original arcade games can perfectly re-create their experience, newcomers who like arcade shooters in general will have a blast, and high-score devotees will dedicate hours upon hours to topping the leaderboards.

    At $19.99, Raiden Fighters Aces compares favorably to the standard Xbox Live Arcade pricing structure, where each one of these three games would probably run $10. So if you have a hankering for this type of classic scrolling shooter gameplay, Raiden Fighters Aces is a strong package that you'll certainly enjoy.

    An amazing port of the three Raiden Fighters games: Raiden Fighters (1996), Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive (1997), and RaidenAn amazing port of the three Raiden Fighters games: Raiden Fighters (1996), Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive (1997), and Raiden Fighters Jet (1998). 10/10 for all the details covered in menu options, including pixel-perfect scaling options, various frame rate options (as the original game ran at 54fps and a 60fps conversion is not as simple as you might think), and everything you can possibly imagine as a Raiden fan. The only flaw, which is not a flaw that can be fixed, is the leaderboards are specific to the game modes and are lacking in content (in the amount of players on them), and many game modes have no leaderboards at all, but you can choose if you want to "Xbox LIVE" or not from the main menu. Tip: Any mode where you continue doesn't record to leaderboards. This separation between wanting to continue and wanting to post scores on leaderboards is unfortunate but necessary in all arcade ports. This review is coming from someone who has scored 1st in the world on one of the leaderboards, in an obscure but very hard mode (Xonatron)! :) I cannot say enough about this game. Appreciate the depth that these developers have taken in bring this to us.… Expand

If you've ever enjoyed raiden, raiden DX-Raiden 2, You will be doing yourself a disservice by not buying this game. Its one of the more unique shmups with quite a few different ships that have different lasers and abilities. There are some of the most unique weapons I've ever seen. Its best in local co-op but single player is great too.
