I had a lot of fun playing Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball, but I was extremely disappointed with the lack of content in this game. Playing the same four levels over and over is unacceptable in a modern game and is my chief complaint of this title.

Official Xbox MagazineIf you've got a few friends, it can actually be pretty fun. [Apr 2008, p.76]
-
What it all boils down to is this game lacks a lot to make it a fun dodgeball game. The camera doesn't fit and the action is bit too slow-paced for some.
-
If, however, you're after something inoffensive to entertain the youngsters without having to explain about death, the birds and the bees or any other adult themes, you could do worse.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKA big-hearted game with some rip-off DLC. [Dec 2008, p.101]
-
Pirates vs Ninjas is an attractive looking title and offers a unique take on an old school game, but its ineffective gameplay just won't let it compete with other titles more worthy of your hard earned cash.
-
Despite its cool cast of characters and excellent concept, Blazing Lizards had a good starting point that missed the mark.
-
The bad camera angles, unnecessary fatigue system and limited environments really hurt the title.
-
This game might not have caused such disappointment if the concept wasn't such an intriguing idea, but when you combine these fun elements, and the game is a) not all that fun to play and b) distinctly limited, people are going to be let down.
