Games Master UKGo and see the movie instead - it's cheaper, it stars Ricky Gervais and they serve popcorn. [July 2009, p.82]

The biggest gripe about Battle of the Smithsonian – aside from the fact it’s simply a straightforward marketing tie-in to help rake in extra cash alongside the film – is that it just doesn’t offer much length or substance for the $40 you’re being asked to spend on it.
-
A few cute moments can't disguise this movie tie-in's biggest problem: its criminally short length.

Xbox World 360 Magazine UKShort and forgettable. [Aug 2009, p.82]

BoomtownSo you’re left with a game that provides surprisingly enjoyable family-friendly fun, but one that doesn’t last longer than four hours (five if you’re a child) and misses opportunity after opportunity.

Official Xbox Magazine UKThe game was over faster than this review. [July 2009, p.89]

This game is bad, but at least it’s playable. It is extremely short, but that is actually a positive for it, which is something you never want as a developer. Stay clear at all costs unless you need a quick gamerscore boost.

It’s a very kid-friendly game, but to the point where there’s very little actual game to enjoy, and what there is is incredibly ugly. Simple, really easy and one that even five-year-olds will get bored of.

AceGamezIt plays like it was put together by confused adolescents with broken fingers and no concept of reality. It's buggy, broken, stupid and about as far from funny as a game that's based on a comedic film could possibly be.
