LateZ.Jul 7, 2006Nice graphics, and player look to behave just like in real life, BUT: I'm not very fanatic hockey game player, but still I won my second ever match 11-6 in the hardest difficulty with Capitals! I don't have to use the 90% sure shot to the top of the goal, but I just wanted to try how much I can score with a cheap trick.

MatthewK.Dec 8, 2005I hate this game, I hate it on xbox and I hate it even more on xbox 360. Sure the animation and graphics are sweet and well done, but the game play still sucks and boring and well crap. I wish they would have kept it like espn 2k5, but no they did not. I wished espn would take back this game but they cant becouase they sold it to Ea but anyway I hate this game with passion.

For now, the game feels like a transition step between current generation and the generation to come, and is a mashing together of a few new graphical details, a new mode, and then all the content from the old generation.

Overall the same game that we’ve enjoyed for the past four years. New features like Crease Control, ProControl, and On-The-Fly Coaching are welcome additions, but this isn’t really a "next-gen" game.

The A.I. in the game is alarmingly bad sometimes though, and you can score against A.I. opponents like a hot knife cutting through butter, or is that ice?
