    This is a great game. The new "Crease Control" feature is an amazing addition, the only problem with it is the AI doesn't shoot enough. They wait for one-timers, so your save percentage will always be 80-90%. It's hard to have higher when they only shoot 12-18 shots in every game.

    I'm not a hugh hockey fan, but NHL 2k6 really draws you into the rink. The gameplay is fast and addictive. The new goalie control adds a unique and often necessary aspect to the game. The players and fans need slight graphical upgrades.

    This game is the best hockey game ive ever played. Everything is good, the rosters are updated with crosby, ovechkin, phaneuf, carter etc., the gameplay is awsome, it has a new goalie control feature which is awsome, and the only downside to me is the graphics could be a little better.

    This is by far the worst hockey game EVER!!! I mean how you can you release a game that was not even tested way to many gameplay bugs, and the add your own music feature doesn't even work correctly. I think 2k said hey we can just throw a couple new video shots in, add some code so it plays on 360 and up the price.     This game gets ZERO because it is completely unplayable. The game freezes completely after exiting ANY type of game, meaning no Franshise or Season play. The online play would be salvagable, but quick games are played at the default settings (Incredibly slow, horrific goaltending, non-existent checking, etc), leaving you to plod through a mind-numbing game against opponents who use the This game gets ZERO because it is completely unplayable. The game freezes completely after exiting ANY type of game, meaning no Franshise or Season play. The online play would be salvagable, but quick games are played at the default settings (Incredibly slow, horrific goaltending, non-existent checking, etc), leaving you to plod through a mind-numbing game against opponents who use the manual goaltending (read: EASY MODE) which stops the game and moves to a paifully slow goaltending cam on EVERY shot. Awful, putrid piece of crap. Best of all, once you complain about this rip off, you'll be told it's YOUR fault that it doesn't work. Fantastic! Avoid at all costs.… Expand

    Nice graphics, and player look to behave just like in real life, BUT: I'm not very fanatic hockey game player, but still I won my second ever match 11-6 in the hardest difficulty with Capitals! I don't have to use the 90% sure shot to the top of the goal, but I just wanted to try how much I can score with a cheap trick.

    This game is great!Its the best hockey game I have ever played and I have played hockey games since Blades of Steel. give it a 9.3

    This game has its flaws like confusing front-screen menus but, when you get down to it, it is actually fun to play. The graphics and commentary do a respectable job of mimicking the feel of NHL and the game controls aren't too shabby.     The gameplay is still the best by a wide margin, but damn it looks and sounds pretty much the same as the regular Xbox version. The fact they can repackage the original game in a 360 box, essentially, and sell it to us for triple the price leads me to believe that I wasn't robbed by a goalie, but by a company who is finally just starting to rest on their laurels. Better luck next year, Kush!

    I hate this game, I hate it on xbox and I hate it even more on xbox 360. Sure the animation and graphics are sweet and well done, but the game play still sucks and boring and well crap. I wish they would have kept it like espn 2k5, but no they did not. I wished espn would take back this game but they cant becouase they sold it to Ea but anyway I hate this game with passion.

    I only it gave it a four because its only a online game. Thats right, you heard me. If you start a franchise mode, somwhere down the line it will corrupt on you and stop you from pregressing any futher. After a franchise game, between the post game and the franchise menu the loading screen freezes, everytime! They refuse to fix this problem or even acknowledge it.     Please tell me there is a patch for this game...WTF!! I'm not even half way through my season and it freezes...finish a practice or a game and after i exit that game...it says 2k6 loading please wait....and never does anything else. I would have given it a 5 for being playable and a mediocre distraction from the true nhl games by ea sports but if the game isn't even supported Please tell me there is a patch for this game...WTF!!     Really, the best nhl game ever, nhl 2006 is so arcade now, if u liek simulation (real life play) buy this game!

    This game should only be played for the easy 750 and Pain in the ass 1000. You can get NHL 10 for the same price, or slightly more expensive. Everything about is dated the game also freezes a lot, that it would probably be **** to play when the game was released.

    For now, the game feels like a transition step between current generation and the generation to come, and is a mashing together of a few new graphical details, a new mode, and then all the content from the old generation.

    Overall the same game that we’ve enjoyed for the past four years. New features like Crease Control, ProControl, and On-The-Fly Coaching are welcome additions, but this isn’t really a "next-gen" game.

    The A.I. in the game is alarmingly bad sometimes though, and you can score against A.I. opponents like a hot knife cutting through butter, or is that ice?
