    An amazing game, although somewhat hard to pick up and play on the fly. If you have an environment suited for it, definitely pick it up. Even if you aren't a hardcore basketball fan, it's a fun diversion that will be an absolute hit at parties.

    Overall I think NBA Baller Beats is an entertaining game but the price is a bit high for anyone that doesn't want the game only for the purpose of increasing their ball handling abilities.

    No one can fault NBA Baller Beats for being ambitious, especially since it actually works. It's a fun rhythm game, but it also works as a teaching tool for those who are motivated enough to want to improve their game. If it weren't for the insanely specific requirements to get a basic game going, this would qualify as a must-have title for the Kinect. As it stands, basketball fans who have lots of room and little to break will enjoy this title.

    The concept might seem a bit gimmicky at first glance, but Baller Beats is a well made, respectable peripheral-driven rhythm game in the tradition of Dance Dance Revolution or Guitar Hero. Some technical limitations keep the game from outright greatness, but there's a lot of fun-and real world benefits-to be had here.

    We do recommend Baller Beats to anyone hoping to increase their b-ball acumen or try something new. If noise and space aren't an issue, it's definitely worth a shot.

    I'll say this: the population of people that can play this game effectively is so small, I have no idea how this game got green-lighted or canI'll say this: the population of people that can play this game effectively is so small, I have no idea how this game got green-lighted or can break even on its costs let alone make a profit.

    But with that said, IF all the planets are aligned for you and you have the right set up in place (Kinect, HUGE open play space, uncarpeted floors, moderate dribbling skills, no angry downstairs neighbors, etc.), this game is SURPRISINGLY FUN. The music is pretty good and you WILL have fun practicing since the Kinect picks up your movements fairly well. Your skills will improve and you'll learn a few tricks that you can (maybe) use in an actual game. But because of so many limitations to effective gameplay, NBA Baller Beats is simply not for everyone.    … Full Review »
