Jul 9, 2012Mini Ninjas Adventures is a great example of good game design for the Kinect. The gestures are unique enough that they don't get mixed up, and nothing is unnecessarily complex. The progression of weapons and enemies kept me engaged the entire time, and I was always having enough fun to forgive the occasional control glitch. It's a cute, enjoyable game and definitely worth checking out.

Aug 7, 2012Despite its Kinect-oriented problems, Mini Ninjas Adventures' sensibly organized gesture controls and ever escalating mechanics and complexity should compel players to return as soon as the lactic acid dissipates.
-
Jul 26, 2012One of those Kinect games worth the effort. Extremely simple but also direct and fun, one of the best downloadable games for Kinect that greatly implements its capabilities.
-
Aug 17, 2012A pretty delightful distraction, and at a reasonable 800MP, I'd be a joyless, churlish curmudgeon with a greasy curdled soul not to recommend it.
-
Jul 20, 2012A simply and funny game for all kinds of players. If you are a Kinect owner, this is the perfect game for you!
-
Jul 17, 2012Mini Ninjas Adventures feels just as Japanse and zen as its predecessor, but with totally different controls and gameplay. It works very well with Kinect, though it might cause some pain in your right arm for hitting too much with the sword. It's a cutesy family game that will bring hours of fun, but that's all it is.
-
Jul 21, 2012Pretty tower defense like game with Kinect sensor. Hiro is back and your arm is now the katana. Just beware the considerable physical effort!
-
Jul 25, 2012Cute visuals, funny gameplay and pretty good Kinect controls, for a mini-games compilation unfortunately too short and repetitive to appeal a broader audience.
-
Aug 8, 2012Unfortunately, Kinect problems abound: the fussy, imprecise motion-reading is frustrating(especially when you're blocking and deflecting attacks), and some of your physical actions require exaggerated movements. [Oct 2012, p.79]
-
Jul 6, 2012Once you have a strategy for every opponent the kinect slashing gets repetitive.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKAug 18, 2012Gets very repetitive. [Issue#88, p.83]
