    This game is absolute perfection. The absolute dopamine you get from playing this game is insane, not only is it just dopamine, as each boss has a killer track and even more killer gameplay, could not recommend more than I physically can.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. decided to play this because of the memes, but then i had one of the best **** gaming experiences of my life. something about this game is just amazing to me, and i don’t know if it’s the music, the bosses or the mariachi outfit which i definitely didn’t make raiden wear for the rest of the game.

    i loved the call backs to the other games, from boris with the ‘kept you waiting’, rose being mentioned (rose is still the worst character in the franchise though) and solidus also being mentioned by nanomachines, son. the first proper boss (mistral) was the easiest boss i’ve ever done in my life, even on normal difficulty, which was a really stupid thing to do considering i had never played the game before. this is where a problem of mine is with this game: easy difficulty is too easy. sounds ridiculous, but the difference between normal mode and easy is insane. i started on normal difficulty, and was doing fine until it took me 4 hours to beat the bladewolf fight, but then beat the mistral fight in one go. on easy, i beat the fight in two goes because i forgot the nanopaste existed. that took me 8 minutes. on normal difficulty, i got stuck on the monsoon fight. i **** you not i could not beat this, so i decided to start the game again, but on easy. i finished the entire game in 3 hours. it took me less time to finish the entire game on easy than it did to beat a boss on normal. which is why i say it’s too easy. i don’t know if easy mode was intended for people who had never played a video game before, but the difference between the two modes is ridiculous. in my opinion i think there should’ve been more difficulties like in the earlier games. this was really my only “issue” with the game.

    Very satisfying high action combat with an amazing ost if ur into hack and slash games this is a must play with the only downside to this game being the camera messing up in certain boss fights.

    Ich finde das, dass Spiel ein sehr gutes Spiel im ersten Playthrough war und ich hätte eine 8/10 gegeben, doch nachdem ich das Spiel nun in meinem 2.Playthrough nochmal beendet habe muss ich leider einen Punkt abziehen, da mir mit weiterer Spieldauer leider auffiel das, dass Spiel leider keine wirkliche Komplexität besitzt, anders als andere Spiele von Platinum Games, wie Bayonetta. DasIch finde das, dass Spiel ein sehr gutes Spiel im ersten Playthrough war und ich hätte eine 8/10 gegeben, doch nachdem ich das Spiel nun in meinem 2.Playthrough nochmal beendet habe muss ich leider einen Punkt abziehen, da mir mit weiterer Spieldauer leider auffiel das, dass Spiel leider keine wirkliche Komplexität besitzt, anders als andere Spiele von Platinum Games, wie Bayonetta. Das was das Spiel aber für mich spaßig macht ist das Parry System das, dass ganze spaßig und einzigartig macht. Zudem ist die Handlung auch ein Highlight für mich, da sie sehr humoristisch war, aber auch etwas eigenes erzählt, das ich so narrativ noch nie so erlebte. (ein weiterer Punkt wieso der zweite Playthrough nicht so gut war wie der erste) Doch abseits davon gab es nicht viel was das Spiel so richtig gut macht. Doch ich denke das wenn man Character Action Games mag, man sich das Spiel trotzdem anschauen sollte, da ich trotzdem sehr viel spaß hatte und ich in naher Zukunft definitiv noch einen dritte Spieldurchgang, auf dem höchsten Schwierigkeitsgrad, machen werde.… Expand

    Metal Gear series and hardcore beat 'em ups fans will fall in love with this one. They will even extend their experience by replaying the game. They will have no troubles at all with its highly-problematic camera along with its useless junk in the combat system. They will handle it. Gamers outside the fandom do not need to get excited, there is nothing interesting for them.

    Ultimately Platinum has managed to deliver on the vision that Kojima first announced back in 2009, and it's a roller coaster ride from start to end. The gameplay is the forefront of importance for the genre and it’s there that they’ve certainly managed to deliver.
