Aug 22, 2023Tons of fun but just for a short time. I remember liking it a lot and, after beating it, just forgetting about it.

Jun 1, 2023J’ai adoré parcourir se jeu un genre pourtant très exploité avec une bonne difficulté

Jul 26, 2022It's not bad but It's also not great. It does have a good story but it does get repetitive and it doesn't hold my interest for too long. Played it once and never played it again.

Jun 1, 2022I decided to give this oldie a try in 2022... and I can't even begin to fathom how someone could've ever thought this game was even acceptable, in any point of videogaming history. The gameplay is absolute, utter rubbish. Controls are defective, slow and unresponsive. Framerate is about 4 FPS whenever there's more than two characters on screen. Simply ridiculous.

Aug 17, 2021Solid game with a memorable enemy worm in the snowy area. If you are into any and all types of shooters then you could definitely kill some time with this one.
-
Jan 10, 2021With a not much advanced graphic performance, this game provides moderate story and annoying game design details.

Dec 12, 2019More games should allow you to carry 20 grenades at once. Took me 13 years to learn to appreciate that
-
Nov 6, 2018Extensive, great monsters design, weapons too, a well worked story, need to be a lot of time in every chapter
-
Aug 10, 2018game was alright except for the unbeatable first boss!! other than the good controls and god storyline and graphics. this game is ****

Sep 26, 2016The original Lost Planet is just as bad as it's sequel, with pretty much all the same problems, including the broken checkpoint system which will send you back multiple levels......F*CK THIS GAME!

Jun 25, 2013Extremely varied gameplay, a worthy assortment of different enemies, and a harrowing set of visuals make "Lost Planet: Extreme Condition" a superb sci-fi action adventure game.
-
May 28, 2012This game was decent. I liked the setting and creatures but game got repetitive and story wasn't that interesting.
-
Feb 13, 2012This game is extremly bad. It's unrefined and it's by my opinion, the definition of bad and frustrating gameplay; in a landscape of only snow and boring combat, this game really stands out in the crowd. No time for exploration and no freedom what so ever.

YouDamnFanboySNov 27, 2008Amazing, this is just another example of Capcoms great work. The gameplay is simple, and the story and graphics are just great. Online is so addictive. This is just one of those smaller titles, that you can pick up and play until no one is left online.

LanceFMar 27, 2008Great graphics, great gameplay. Storyline needs improvement (seems very hard to follow). The mechs are nice and the overall fun factor is there. Definately worth a play.

PatrickS.Jan 6, 2008I like the game, but there were a few aspects missing that make it a worth while game like Halo. It just needs a little touch-up job is all.

Official Xbox MagazineIt's straight out of 1989, and that makes it either archaic or retro-cool comfortable. With Capcom's steady attention to polish and presentation, Lost Planet falls into the latter category more often than not. And even if it's familiar, it's definitely not repetitive. [Jan 2007, p.48]
-
Edge MagazineReally, this is a game of strong, simple virtues: knockout action, beautiful character design, lovingly articulated models, crisp sound and overall polish. Every now and then it'll overstretch, at which point it falls. [Jan 2007, p.76]
-
It does what it says on the tin, and delivers heart-pounding explosions, pant-wetting big alien monsters and hordes of minions to slay. If you can overlook the fact that it doesn't challenge your Xbox 360 either intellectually or technically, and you can just get down and dirty with some big guns and even bigger odds, then you and Lost Planet are going to get along just fine. [Issue 20, p.50]
