Play MagazineThe important things is that the Looney Tunes are back in a game that does the namesake complete justice. [Oct 2007, p.84]
-
The gameplay boils down to a simplistic mix of platform jumping and enemy bashing, with a good dose of item collection thrown in. It won't tax your reflexes or your brain, which is why the game is perfect for younger gamers; players who grew up with the cartoons, as I did, will also experience a nice feeling of nostalgia as they play.
-
Official Xbox MagazineModerately challenging and entertaining, Acme Arsenal is nevertheless far from memorable. [Nov 2007, p.99]
-
Poor execution, no real personality and identical gameplay across multiple characters squash the fun factor like a 50-ton Acme anvil.
-
Take away the familiarity of the Looney Tunes license, and Acme Assault is little more than another generic platform game that does just enough right to be okay, but not enough to stand out. Even with the license, the developers just didn't seem to use it to its fullest potential.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKCheap or not, this has nothing to recommend it, bar morbid curiosity. [Jan 2008, p.83]

AceGamezLooney Tunes: ACME Arsenal is just a slightly below average platformer hiding behind a powerful licence.
-
A repetitive nature not yet seen in the current generation of gaming.
-
The biggest problem with Acme Arsenal is that it doesn’t contain an inkling of the depth on display in the classic cartoons its levels attempt to emulate.
-
Dull, repetitive, and carelessly programmed don't even begin to sum up how crummy this action game based on the Looney Tunes license is.
-
Now perhaps I’m just getting too old for this stuff, but it seemed to me that these guys aren’t as funny as they once were.
-
As I mentioned above, the camera is just plain terrible and is a major drawback to the controls because they give you the ability to steer it. Only it does not do what it is told; most times it will not do anything at all leaving you unable to see where you are supposed to jump.
-
Aside from unlocking Achievements, it has no redeeming value, and that's all, folks.
-
Game InformerNext to sharing the screen with Michael Jordan, this game has to be the low point in Bugs Bunny's career. [Dec 2007, p.140]
-
There's simply nothing redeeming about Acme Arsenal. It's an incredibly poor, woefully unentertaining use of a great license, and an absolute bore to play. It doesn't get nearly enough right to be anywhere close to average, and becomes its own worst enemy with a cavalcade of embarrassing glitches.

GlennW.Oct 27, 2007Graphics of the game remind me more of a ps1/ps2 game, and the game mechanics are clunky.
