Krome has done a fine job of translating this fantasy into the video game sphere. Legend of the Guardians sticks to a couple of core experiences and executes them well. You could do a lot worse than flying the skies protected by these stalwart owl defenders.
-
Legend of the Guardians is a very solid game that is hindered by its short play time and lack of reason to come back for more.
-
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole would have been a very good game for children had it not been for its brevity and lack of difficulty.
-
One of the better licensed products in my recent memory.

Jan 11, 2011For children, this is definitely a winner. For fans of casual, laid back gaming involving owls, again, I can recommend this. If you're expecting value for money, however, then you'd be far better off looking elsewhere. It's a fun thumb-twiddling experience but your feathers will be itching for something new before long.
-
Jan 16, 2011Ga'Hoole is a rarity in that it's one of those few movie tie-in titles that is actually worth playing.

Jan 3, 2011Legend of the Guardians is a quite good licensed game with some enjoyable ideas. Fans of the books will be pleased with this (very short) tie-in. All the others… well, maybe not.
-
The game is very short, and with nothing much beyond the game's story mode, most players will be done with this title in only a few short hours.
-
This short flight of fancy has its charms, but it gets stale fast.
-
This makes for a great weekend rental, but it's hard to justify the retail price of $50 for the brevity and simplicity of this experience.
