Apr 6, 2012Considering its target, Kinect Rush is a well designed game that can entertain with ease lots of kids, making them move a lot.
-
Apr 2, 2012Kinect Rush may be short on length, but it's big on playability, imagination and fun.
-
Mar 28, 2012Kinect responsiveness can be spotty, especially jumping, but it works well enough to keep kids (and adults) grinning ear-to-ear while playing.
-
Mar 23, 2012The Kinect controls for all these activities feel intuitive, accurate, and responsive. Considering the range of gestures, there's impressively little frustration involved.
-
Mar 20, 2012If you love the films Cars, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Toy Story and Up!, you'll find this a nice addition and quite decent collection of mini games. But as a game, albeit quite solid, it's just no Disneyland Adventures, in scope or presentation.
-
May 1, 2012Provided you fall into the target demographic, there's a lot to love about Kinect Rush. No matter if you are slapping on your superhero tights in The Incredibles, or racing a co-op buddy with Mater and crew in Cars, you can be sure to have some fun, and get one heck of a workout in the process.
-
Apr 6, 2012It does what it was designed to do. It helps to recreate the wonder, the fantasy and the enjoyment that everyone has experienced from the original movies.
-
Apr 1, 2012With a mixture of action and basic puzzles, they'll spark the imagination, keep them laughing, and soak up a decent amount of energy too. It's perfect for a lazy Sunday when you just want to sit back and read the paper.
-
Mar 22, 2012I'm obviously not the target audience for Kinect Rush, and I'm sure that many of my control problems stem from that fact. Still, when I was done playing, I walked away from the game with a huge smile on my face. No matter what which way you look at it, Kinect Rush is a fun game, and it would make an amazing birthday present for a child.
-
Apr 22, 2012Still, that may have been an odd happenstance specific to our play space, so I won't downgrade the game because of it. Kinect Rush: A Disney Pixar Adventure is a fun, albeit brief, trip down Pixar memory lane, and it makes nice use of Kinect motion controls.
-
Apr 13, 2012Your enjoyment of Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure will be dependent on how much you like the activities. On one hand, each level features a myriad of activities, and even though they all feature constant forward movement, they're varied enough that you'll rarely do long stretches of the same activity. On the other hand, the levels are fairly short, and the chances that you'll want to replay them so soon after finishing the title can be pretty slim. If you have young kids who are huge fans of the Pixar movies, the repetitive nature isn't a big deal and they'll have a blast with the game. Otherwise, it's a good rental for older Pixar fans.
-
Apr 9, 2012It took us just over 3-hours to complete this, however the game contains a large amount of hidden goodies to be found from different paths to completing levels and lots of hidden objects and power-ups littered through the gaming world. Thankfully all the games were quite fun to play and with two people, the whole experience is made considerably more enjoyable.
-
Apr 1, 2012A solid and well thought game with great visuals and gameplay variety, but you'll finish it in a couple of hours and the free movement system often gets in the way. Better suited for a budget-priced buy.
-
Mar 28, 2012The motion recognition works well, the levels based on five of Pixar's iconic feature films look great and playing with your personalized character is a sure hit with the younger players. Unfortunately with merely 15 short levels the adventure falls a bit on the short side, although the hunt for the highscore might draw you back into the park.
-
Apr 24, 2012One of the best attempts at a kids game for Kinect yet, with lots of variety, excellent use of the Pixar license and wonderful graphics.
-
Apr 18, 2012A more than decent game, but without much innovation. It is a great game for kids, although it has some problems in the control, and achieves to transmit the visual spectacle of the original movies, although we miss some more different gameplay elements.
-
Apr 6, 2012Kinect Rush is a good game with an high production value and some very good ideas on how to use Kinect in funny new ways. But with only five tiny different worlds to explore and so little to discover, the happiness of being there, in the magic land of Pixar, ends too soon.
-
Apr 4, 2012This one's not for the adults but rather a great title for the kids. Our test subjects couldn't leave this one alone, and why should I force them? They're getting a good excercise whilst having fun, and as a parent I can't really ask for much more.
-
Mar 27, 2012It's not surprising, nor particularly large. Kinect Rush is a game where 5 rather funny Pixar universes exist to be traversed and explored with an avatar like us. It is pretty much like the movies, but little else.
-
Mar 26, 2012A great game to play with a friend or sibling, and it's as easy as walking in and out of the camera's view. But what the game excels at is that it harnesses the charm, personality, and high-quality visuals that the property is known for.
-
Mar 25, 2012One of the best Kinect games so far and also one of the most successful Pixar tie-ins. Kids will love it and it'd take a seriously cynical adult not to feel the same way.
-
Games Master UKApr 27, 2012Just enough sheen to make it a must-play for very small Pixar-heads; pity about the rest of us. [June 2012, p.78]
-
Apr 17, 2012Kinect Rush is a game developed for kids only, it is too short and not entertaining for an adult audience.
-
Apr 18, 2012Thanks to lots of good ideas that make it an interesting title, Kinect Rush : A Disney Pixar Adventure becomes one of the funniest games compatible with the Kinect, especially if you like the Disney universe.
-
Apr 6, 2012Kinect Rush certainly lives up to its title, but only for the first hour or so. After that, the rush wears off and the grind sets in. That wide-open field turns out to be not so wide and not so open after all.
-
Apr 3, 2012The game does a great job in conveying the feeling of being inside the world of Pixar, but it offers little narrative coherence and the gameplay is boring, which will gradually lose its interest.
-
Mar 27, 2012Kinect Rush does a good job of capturing the Pixar atmosphere, and is sure to give kids plenty of exercise as they complete the game's mission set. However, the control issues make for an frustrating experience at best and a broken one at worst.
-
Mar 23, 2012Not really a sterling representation of the Disney-Pixar alliance, but Kinect Rush will keep kids happy for a while – as long as they have the patience to put up with frustrating movement and handling. With a few tweaks this could have been a much smoother experience, but as it is there is just too little fun and too much effort involved.
-
Apr 16, 2012Kinect Rush is an attempt to bring back Disney games to status they had twenty years ago. The presentation is superb and looking at a trailer you might actually think its a good game, but sadly its not. The Kinect controls are frustratingly inconsistent and after just an hour or two the game feels extremely stale.
-
Mar 30, 2012This is clearly for kids who have too much energy to spend. But some movements are quite complicated, and can prove to be tedious and frustrating, even for kids. It's ok for one hour of play, but kind of loses its appeal beyond that.
-
Apr 3, 2012This isn't a good game for kids because of the terrible Kinect support. It's best to watch Pixar movies instead of playing them.
