Happy Wars is a simple multiplayer action game for the Xbox Live Arcade. While it is ripe with problems, it's also a free game that is worth checking out. You won't find anything original here, but the fast-paced action is both chaotic and addictive.

There's minimal pressure to spend any money, the AI-controlled bots are intelligent enough to fool particularly stupid game reviewers, and the battles manage to be adorable and epic at the same time. Unfortunately, the repetitiveness in the sound design and gameplay makes the excitement level drop too quickly.

The title developed by the guys at Toylogic combines remarkable qualities and defects which, unfortunately, push it away from a totally positive evaluation. On one hand the game is accessible and fun (at first glance), but on the other, it ends early, it's repetitive and the matches are not always adequately balanced.

Free, without relying too much on purchasing in-game items and entertaining –but not addictive. This is the worst thing about it, since after a few hours the game gets boring, which we think will cause that essentially no one will pay for in-game content.

Lone players need not apply: an offline campaign proves useful for learning the maps and the nuances of play, but the focus is firmly with the online game. And either way, we'd advise spending a little extra buying Awesomenauts instead.

When your team is doing what they're supposed to be doing, besting an opponent can be extremely satisfying. There's nothing better than seeing your sworn enemies helplessly strapped to planks of wood after you've finally taken their castle. However, when you end up on the losing side you'll immediately wonder just how much cash the other team spent on its gear, or how lucky a particular player got with a high-powered weapon drop.

With very little reason to come back after a few quick rounds, I don't foresee Happy Wars being a staple of the Xbox 360 multiplayer scene for very long.

Simplesmente o jogo mais divertido e viciante que já joguei‚ os mapas são todos lindos e a variedade de equipamentos é impressionante

At least you get a sense that they are trying to fix the problems..Unlike Ascend Hand of Kul that gives you a IDGAF that I havent seen in a long time. I like this game..Its pleasant and enjoyable with a few minor bugs and microtransaction that you dont need to pay to play to enjoy the game. Kudos! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is very innovative, including a Cartoon type art style, and a pretty overall good combat system. But there are things that make this game bad. The menu looks very compact and choppy, matchmaking is slow, and sometimes in ranked matches you get paired up with level 40+ players while your still level 1. The game in enjoyable, but also a little on the annoying side. Expand

You can't beat something decent for free. The amount of people playing this game online is shocking and a testament to its design. Ill give any tower defense game a try and I did, a solid 6. Not that good, but not that bad. Expand

The game is easy to pick-up and play. It has a bit of League of Legends like elements which adds some strategies to the fights. Also, the battles can have up to 30 players is is pretty crazy, but fun at the same time. HW is free to play and allows you to purchase items for your characters. Spend as much or as little as you want. I like this! It's worth checking out since the game is "FREE" to download and play. Expand
