    Actually, this GTA game one of the best in series. Wonderful and sad storyline, wonderful grapics for 2008, yeah and the Liberty City - my favorite city in GTA. Much better for GTA V with her worst storyline

    Amazing world-building for its time. The plot is nothing new or extraordinary, an outsider trying to make it in the big city, but this time it's a Russian. I had a slight issue with this simple, bland, worn-out story and plot structure, the characters and the living-breathing city full of possibilities was what really kept my attention. The gameplay is a bit clunky in GTA IV and almost allAmazing world-building for its time. The plot is nothing new or extraordinary, an outsider trying to make it in the big city, but this time it's a Russian. I had a slight issue with this simple, bland, worn-out story and plot structure, the characters and the living-breathing city full of possibilities was what really kept my attention. The gameplay is a bit clunky in GTA IV and almost all of the side missions are repetitive and not that fun.     Jogo demais, só que achei a dirigibilida dos carros ruins. O jogo vai te entreter muito, fazendo você continuar jogando para saber se o Niko vai ser feliz ou não.

    The GTA IV is the best game of the previous generation. For 2008 it still looks amazing, yes on Xbox 360 the game looks a lot worse than the 5 part. But yet in 2008 there was only the beginning of that generation. The plot certainly stands out vividly relative to the previous parts due to the change of reference towards a realistic narrative.     Best story in any GTA game. Good gameplay. Big and detailed open world with tons of things to do in it. Sadly the game limits this world until the player advances in the main storyline. A greatly enjoyable game overall.

    Astonishing game.Very Well Developed and a very gripping story line altogether.One of the best games I have ever played.Deserves all respect towards it.Characters development is brilliant.Rockstar did well with this one

    Me pareció un buen juego pero no me termino de convencer, tiene buenos gráficos, buen control de personaje, buena inteligencia de la IA, un mapa grande, gran duración de juego, pero le falta una historia que enganche porque al menos conmigo no lo hizo, también el carisma del personaje es muy flojo, la verdad me gustaron mas las expansiones.

    Com gráficos bonitos e um tom completamente caótico, seja bem vindo a selva de pedras de Liberty City. O jogo é ótimo e por isso é meu GTA favorito, sempre que lança um GTA nossa expectativa é máxima pois sabemos que temos um GOTY e por mais alta que seja nossa expectativa GTA sempre nos surpreenderá, com GTA IV não foi diferente, Simplesmente perfeito.

Overall, GTA IV is a technical triumph with a fantastic story. It might've disappointed many fans since it lacks the fun factor of San Andreas.     Técnicamente va a pedales en la xbox 360. Le faltan más vehículos. El personaje es un soso y la historia regular. Aún así es un buen juego que cumple al ser un GTA y estar ambientado en Nueva York que eso siempre mola.

    The most realistic GTA ever. The story is perfect, the characters are awesome and the graphics are very good. The combat and driving are also very good an a big upgrade from San Andreas.Niko is the best GTA protagonist.

    Some games age well, others do not. This one is somewhere in the middle. It is painful gameplay wise, but it is good in a sense of the characters and the world that you can interact with. If you can handle clunky controls, then its a fun time.

    Even well after a decade it's still the best GTA game with a brilliant protagonist, story, missions that are consistent, awesome side missions etc. It's not without its faults, but still a masterpiece nonetheless. San Andreas and GTA V have nothing on it.

And in my personal opinion, it's no secret that Grand theft auto 4 is the best one in said series.

    Grand theft auto 4 completely changed open world games, with its level of perfection, and dedication to its craft. Whether you were flying down the highway in a high speed chase, soaring the skies in a helicopter, going to hangout at the local internet cafe to let nico browse the world wide web. Every thing you did in liberty city felt perfected. And as you play the story in grand theft auto 4, all of these tasks bare even more weight because of your connection to the world and its inhabitants; in grand theft auto rockstar have never created a main character as good as Niko. You become so attached to him and his journey that you truly care for him and his everyday life. He's just a man trying to find new life in America... and you never once doubt how much he cares.

    Rockstar continue time and time again to amaze us, dazzle us, and captivate us. Grand Theft Auto 4 was a huge risk by Rockstar. They completely changed the way they tell stories in GTA with 4. it paid off beautifully. But outside of the red dead series, i don't think they could ever top just how amazing the world of Grand theft auto 4 is.

    - full Euphoria feature set (as company was owned by RS, to greater extent att) - arguably best story, yes SA is great too. but most character depth. - open structure approach to mission objective - most 'alive' map, also best map. - with mods, unbelievable first person motorcycle. you really have to try it, although 2020 release needs    by far the best RS game. without question.

    Именно 4ая часть GTA вышла просто не в своё время. Игроки конца 2000х годов ждали от игр онлайн, а изначально в GTA 4 его небыло, а то что подгрузили потом, можно назвать  - стыдом и позором Rockstar.
    Так что это конечно полный провал в серии, хотя игра супер. Просто вышла не в своё время.

Un juego con una gran y negra historia. buena jugabilidad y personajes, pero que carece del contenido de los anteriores juegos. Trucos bastante sosos, poca personalización. Un online con 13 modos entretenidos para jugar unos minutos, pero que no gustaron a jugadores random. Bastantes hackersVa a 720p. Le dí mas de 4000 horas.     A masterpiece for its time, no doubt. But playing it almost 15 years later, it doesn't shine the way it used to. It's probably one of the least memorable experiences amidst the GTA universe, but still a very good game that holds its own against any other series

    For it's day the graphics were superb, being Rockstars first GTA game to switch to 3D you kind of expect it. The gameplay is not perfect, the driving mechanics can be a bit difficult at times and the hand to hand combat is poor but the overall experience is worth it. Set-pieces are amazing at times. Plenty of side missions to keep you invested for hours and the variety of friends missionsFor it's day the graphics were superb, being Rockstars first GTA game to switch to 3D you kind of expect it. I admired Rockstars attempt at making a more mature darker narrative for Niko Bellic but it can often be overlooked in the hours of carnage that the user can get up too. I think they perfected this narrative in their later games particularly the Red Dead Redemption series. I enjoyed the choices the game gave you for certain story moments and liked how they improved on it in GTA V. Overall an enjoyable game for its time… Expand

    Grand Theft Auto IV is a masterpiece. GTA4 is a open world game set in Liberty City a satire of New York. The main story is great and the side missions and activities are also great.

    This game is a on-going thrilling experience. I played this game on the Xbox One and when i first played it, I Immediately fell in love with everything that the game has. It is even better in GTA V with more details and features that you and me like about that GTA IV game (Better Physics, more Places to go, better Atmosphere, better Car Handling, and etc.).

The AI in this game is very Intelligent, as if you shoot at a mafia, they shoot or run away, and etc. The car physics in this game is exactly how it represents Real Life, but some features are gone. The atmosphere in the game is very dark and bright at the same time, which is a very good combination of the two words and their deep meanings for this GTA game. The car handling in this game is exactly like Real Life, because if you go at a higher speed, the energy and momentum to make a turn decreases and increases if you go slower.

    Car Review- Cars handle great, I don't see why the handling is hated. Car crash physics are incredible, and they are second to BeamNG.
    Physics- Car physics are great. None of that midair car turning. Ragdoll    Perfect Grand Theft Auto game. Has a deep story that teaches you something, a world you ca believe in. Voice actors who are not celebrities, and yet, make it sound better than them.

    Physics- Car physics are great. None of that midair car turning. Ragdoll physics are hilarious, and NPC's accurately respond to shots, unlike V's "shoot them in one leg, and they act as if they're shot in the arm". In IV, they clutch their leg if shot in the leg. You can shoot cops' guns out of their hands. When you fly out of your car, Niko accurately responds, getting to a ball position to break the fall. If you fall from a height with, say, an SMG in your hand, you can shoot it with one hand as you're falling.
    Characters- Roman is the hilarious but anoying cousin who wants to go bowling. Brucie is the steroidal gut who worries about his ego too much. Little Jacob is your cool smoker who takes you on shootout missions and is like a brother to Niko.
    Map- Liberty is smaller than San Andreas or V, but there is so many things to do. Broker, the immigrant community. Bohan, the poorer and gangster part of the city. Algonquin, the glamorous and rich part of Liberty. Alderney, not being a part of Liberty City, is the wasteland type of city.
    Mechanics- Niko can use ATM's. Too many combat animations, which is nice, because I don't want a repetitive game. Parkour is the best in any game. If you're hanging off a ledge, you ca move side to side, or stay there forever. When falling from, say, the top of a shop, Niko will take damage and try to keep his balance, or if the roof is lower, he will curl up into ball, unharmed.
    This is a great game, and nothing can beat it. There are so many things upgraded from San Andreas, or done better than V did.    … Expand

    Whilst technically amazing. Gta 4 is one of the weaker Gta entries in my opinion. There just isn't as much to do in the world as say Gta San Andreas and the world just lacks variety compared to other titles.

    This game was one of the best games in the world and even the best Rockstar game.
    The only thing that still surprises me is that Iran is in my drawer. GTA SA and GTA V are much more popular than this game !!

    This game aged well. The voice acting is excellent. Physics in game are fun and the graphics... well it's up-scaled 4k from 720p. It doesn't look too bad. The low draw distance is a bummer.     The story about the mafia, diamonds, drugs and how they pass from one hand to another creating mini-stories that create the main story is masterful, a masterpiece this game

    The online didn't have much content but it managed to be a lot of fun with just a few missions, races, deathmatches and a free world at the airport

    Details as incredible as that niko improves his English over time or if you fail the mission will have new dialogues, internet, physics, driving, the a.i. and many more details that to this day continue to surprise me.

Gone are the cartoony visuals of the previous three games in the series (for better or worse), but the realism they were going for was pulled off surprisingly well for a video game that released all the way back in 2007.

    The story and characters, while not my personal favorite, are among the best and most interesting that Rockstar has ever created. I've always thought of GTA IV as a sort of spiritual successor to GTA III (as GTA V would later be to San Andreas) and in that regard it's an absolute home run. When "The Lost and The Damned" and "The Ballad of Gay Tony" are added in to the mix, it's not hard to see why people hold this entry in such high regard. The only thing that holds it back from being a perfect 10 in my book is that the gritty, realistic tone often keeps it from being as fun as it really should be.    … Expand

    They are still the king's of open worlds. Attention to details and atmosphere level is over the top! :) GTA IV doesn't have good optimization on the start. And on PC version they have that annoying (Games for Windows Live). I think only one year ago they delete that Windows registration.But game is still fantastic game

    Would rate this a 9/10. GTA IV has great physics, details, story, characters. The DLCs are alright. Radios have some good songs. The bad part of GTA IV is the DLCs are short, driving is hard for some people.

    The game story is pretty good and serious, but that's not exactly what people want. Game itself is good, but kinda empty, Niko is acting poor while he recieves 10k+ for every mission.. and it have a very small choise where to waste money, all you can buy is street foods, clothes and guns (maybe something else) . Im glad that rockstar made GTA 5 more fun style like.

    Better written storyline, better written characters, more detailed, responsive and satisfying gunplay and driving physics, better and more varied AI (No cops killing everyone at first sight, no NPCs going defensive over you standing around, way more pedestrian activities), far more dense and better designed city with tons of interiors and NPC variety, better side activities focused mostly on crime stuff (Vigilante, Most Wanted, Assassinations, Jacob's Drug Deliveries, Brucie's and Stevie's car thefts, etc), rather than just casual themed bullsh*t (Tennis, Golf and Yoga), more balanced wanted system and enemy AI (No enemies with pin-point aka Terminator accuracy, no unrealistic speed-busts while on chases, no 2-3 minutes to lose a wanted level), less restrictive mission design, single player DLCs (TLAD and TBoGT alone are far more worth it than ALL of the updates in GTA Online), no microtransactions, etc. etc

    Yet casuals act like GTA V is better because "mOaR cOnTent" (More than a half of it that they probably don't even touch more than once).    … Expand

    2022, still a very interesting game, big and dynamic open world map to explore, with an average IA, but that havent aged well in gameplay mechanics, plus car crash and collisions are very frustratings, no so much weapons, tons of bugs, even ur car can dissapear! but overall a good game

    While GTA makes use of the Xbox 360's far superior technical specs to create an amazing elaborate and lifelike city to roam around, the lack of likeable characters and sense of humour make it far less fun to play than the PS2 GTA games. Technically very impressive, but ti's yet another case of developers prioritising realism over fun.

    This is SUCH a great game that really stood the test of its time. But i don’t think it’s not as great as reviewers like IGN (who gave it a 10 out of 10), but it was great because it was the only GTA on the 360 at the time.

    When I first played GTA 4 I was amazed by the graphics and the new physics engine, the game felt so realistic and Liberty City looked awesome.
    The story of Niko Bellic is one of the best in the franchise, they did a really good job.
    Niko is one of my favourite GTA characters after CJ from San Andreas.
