For a small outlay of MS points, Frogger captures that old school feel that will bring many a gamer back to the quarter stacking days. The controls are tight, the updated graphics are snazzy, and the online options are pretty nifty.
-
Frogger is still charming and still gives you that queasy nervous feeling when you suddenly realize how much of a challenge it is you're eventually facing.
-
It's not complicated, but Frogger holds some serious reminiscence value for those old enough to remember the ancient quarter-muncher even if it doesn't maintain quite the addictiveness of newer casual games like "Zuma" or "Feeding Frenzy."
-
Basically just another old school title ripped out of a compilation pack, and a five dollar fee attached to it. That said, the game is still solid, definitely prettier than any of the other old-school Live Arcade titles out there.
-
Digital Eclipse did a perfunctory job with Frogger. All of the little additions make it a nice, friendly arcade game for the casual gamer, or conversely for the obsessed hardcore, old-school perfectionist.
-
For some bizarre reason, Konami thought it would be a great idea to make the screen as tiny as possible and make it as difficult as possible to fix it. You have to pause the game (while in game) to adjust the screen size. While in single player it’s not a problem, but during an Xbox Live game, it’s very much a problem.
