Forza 4 is back in good shape with more content than ever before and many new features, including Kinect integration for the fun, the Autovista mode for car lovers, the Rival mode for competition, and much more... but we will first remember its technical performance (the game looks great and runs continuously at 60 fps) and its superb gameplay, which provides renewed physics for exceptional driving sensations. We can forgive its few flaws and raise our thumbs up: it is impossible to miss it if you're a fan of racing games.

Automobile love in a box...A game that seems to have covered every base perfectly. They've also managed to add something else that you'll never see as a bulletpoint on a box: personality. Forza 4 is so much more lively, and it shows so much more character than its predecessor. The game practically shines with signature touches that show that the developers truly loved making it.

Forza 4 may only have incremental updated features from Forza 3 but it's still an amazing time to be had and the best simulation racing game to date.

Jaw-droppingly beautiful...If you are into hotting up rice-rockets, drag racing supercharged yank-tanks, or delicately carving through the twists in a finely tuned Italian thoroughbred, you'll find Forza 4 to be the best console racing title around.

An accumulation of over 6 years of love poured onto disc, Forza Motorsport 4 is an easy purchase for any car enthusiasts with a Xbox 360.

In the end, Forza 4 is a worthy addition to the franchise and even though it is a little light on new tracks, the tracks included can be played a variety of different ways that does increase the amount of different types of ways of finishing it.

The visual finery, combined with the faithfulness of the driving experience and Forza's trademark attention to detail make this game the finest simulation racer available, in our opinion.

Forza 4 has its flaws, but they're relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. The latest entry in the series does everything right that prior ones did, but adds some new things that are surprisingly well-executed.

Forza 4 has great controls, interesting opponents, well-implemented online and semi-online modes, super smooth graphics, and can be customised to suit each player perfectly. The engines sound meaty and real - if your sub-woofer is good enough - and it even uses the Kinect in an effective, unobtrusive way.

Put simply, though, no other car game on Xbox - and we'd dare say any other platform - even approaches Forza 4's depth, versatility, beauty, and community support. It's so comprehensive that there's probably nowhere for the series to go from here - except onto the inevitable Xbox 720. Until then, enjoy every minute of this ride.

The handling in Forza Motorsport 4 is a huge step up from its predecessor, giving you an unprecedented level of control and feel for the car.

Forza 4 manages to be a great simulator and an addictive game at the same time. It knows how to entertain, reward and engage the players, with an intelligent career mode, and its new online features are great. Hands down the best racing game on the Xbox 360.

An amazing title, greatly improved both in gameplay, simulation and graphics, and with some great additions like the stunning Autovista mode. We would have loved if the developers pushed the envelope further by adding night racing and weather conditions, but it's nevertheless an unmissable buy for every motorsports lover.

From the opening cinematic to the garage to the customization to the races, you can just tell that the developers just love cars and they have poured that into Forza Motorsport 4.

Forza 4 truly is the best racing game for the Xbox 360 and improves on almost every aspect. We would have liked to see more damage being done to the cars but the ton of online modes and the improved career mode will make you forget about the few errors.

Compared with 2009-released Forza Motorsport 3 improvements can be found in almost every aspect of the Game. At the moment Forza Motorsport 4 is not only the best racing game for the Xbox 360 - it's the best driving game available for any console.

Although the features that Forza Motorsport 4 offers are nothing new from previous iterations, they all team up again in a fantastic package. The game is one of the finest racing games ever.

The changes in Forza 4 I find most exciting don't alter this setup dramatically, and yet with just a few tweaks Forza 4 feels like a fresh experience. It's re-invigorated, and every turn is infectious and alluring.

If there is one weak area, though, it's the soundtrack. Some of Forza 4's tunes are pretty good, but the techno tracks are kinda forgettable.

Whether you're a casual player or someone who is hardcore and looking to top the leaderboards, Forza 4's great controls, ton of game modes, and endless options make it a racing game that is very playable for all who take to the virtual road. Sure, it isn't perfect as I take exception to some of the AI tactics and how the force feedback through the Xbox 360 Wheel feels excessive and artificial. Despite the shortcomings though Forza 4 is the ultimate playground for car and driving aficionados.

Forza Motorsport 4 offers great racing action for controller users, in addition to a weak, thus pointless, Kinect racing mode. Autovista on the other hand is a brilliant Kinect bonus feature highlighting the sensor's potential. Brilliant physics engine, great looks and an incredible selection of cars make Forza Motorsport 4 a must-buy for Xbox 360 racing fans.

The formula is still the same, so you know the drill. At this fourth chapter, some things are still missing, like dynamic weather or more race modes, yet Forza remains a great choice for the sim fans out there.

You don't have to be an avid racer to enjoy this one. Forza 4 is flexible in this matter, catering both to hardcore racers and those less experienced in racing games.

An incredibly great looking game that is just as much fun to play.

Regardless of graphical quibbles, Forza 4 is a fantastic racing experience. There's a ridiculous amount of content here, both online and off, and a huge community that pours a massive amount of support into the game via car clubs, liveries, tuning, auctions and so on.

The game succeeds at bringing the bar down so everyone can feel a sense of accomplishment. And that level of accessibility is something more hardcore simulators should aspire to be.

Boasting unrivalled visuals, an engaging career mode, fluid, responsive gameplay, and plenty of features to boot, the only real criticism we have is that they possibly haven't advanced the series as much as we'd have liked them to have done for the fourth iteration.

Forza Motorsport 4 may be an evolution from its third installment, but Turn 10 managed to make almost everything better from its previous efforts. It could be more challenging and rain is still missing, but all in all this is one of the finest racing games ever.

Forza Motorsport 4 is pretty much the same game as its predecessor, this time only with added Kinect controls and somewhat limited Autovista functionality. Luckily Forza 3 was a great game and Forza 4 is too. Best new feature is larger player cap in online matches. [Nov 2011]

The only thing this brilliant game lacks is the ability to race at night or in the rain. Apart from that it offers almost everything – trying out hundreds of detailed cars on numerous beautiful tracks I felt like a kid in a candy store. [November 2011, p.44]

Compared with Gran Turismo 5, Forza 4 is the better title and one of the best racing games on the market.

An incredibly robust package that will please any racing game fan. Even players not so keen on simulation owe it to themselves to check it out. There is so much content included on the disc that you could literally spend months trying to see it all. Combine that with outstanding presentation and truly spectacular handling and you have the definitive car-driving simulator.

Forza 4 is great, probably the greatest, but still it lacks a breath of fresh air. It's a polished, upgraded, patched up, expanded Forza Motorsport 3. Or at least it's what Forza 3 should have been in the beginnig. Still - the game sucks you in and that's the best recommendation I can give.

Forza 4 offers the most well rounded experience to date. It oozes of love for motorsports and car culture, while giving you easy access to the cars of your dreams on the most beautiful and and challenging tracks across the globe. It has enough width and depth to satisfy both arcade and simulation fans, and Forza 4 conquers the genre throne once and for all.

These relatively minor issues make Forza Motorsport 4 narrowly miss the bullseye, but this is still the best racing game released this year.

Forza 4 is the driving game that PD should have made and perhaps even secretly really wanted to make. Speed to the shops now and buy it, and bask in fossil fuel heaven.

Although the differences from Forza 3 are somewhat subtle, this new game from Turn10 is a superb driving simulator, full of modes, cars and passion that racing enthusiasts should not miss.

Forza 4 impresses for not only providing a beautiful, solid and deep racing experience, but making it fun and accessible for any car enthusiast or newcomer.

Turn 10's sublime handling model accommodates newcomers and veterans alike, a system that can be tweaked to sit anywhere between 'real car' and 'videogame' settings as the player sees fit. Online functionality is as impressive as ever too, the auction house and plethora of racing options joined by Autolog-style Rivals hot lap challenges to ensure that Forza 4 genuinely has the ability to last forever.

Forza Motorsport 4 is a seal of quality and the racer of the year.

An extraordinarily tight race of the gaming titans continues. In the next round, Forza is passing Gran Turismo by an inch through the finish line because it has more clinging concept, sturdy multiplayer menu and an incredibly great number of car activities on/off the track. You won't find more addicting and everlasting racing game these days.

Forza Motorsport 4 is a work of love and an absolute gem of a racing game. The feel of the actual racing has been tuned somewhat and now feels a little more playful.There´s realy not a whole lot of new content compared to the last entry in the series, but the polish and improved graphics is incredible. If you'er only going to get one racing game this year, this should be it.

For all the minor problems at hand, Forza Motorsport 4 is the most complete car experience available today. Vast in scope, with many new features, it is slickly present and well executed. Other titles will cater to hardcore racing specialities better, but for those looking to race, tweak, tune and participate in a community, this fourth iteration offers more than enough entertainment.

Forza 4 is our new racing favourite. Apart from some minor A.I. issues, it's almost perfect.

Forza Motorsport 4 goes beyond any driving simulation on consoles. Turn 10 added some fresh mechanics to a career mode that, apart some extras, remains the same (in terms of event types), and developed a new grip system for the tires that reaches a new level of driving simulation.

Where former entries in the series took themselves a little too seriously, this game likes to humour, dazzle and entertain, losing none of its technical competence but swapping stoic sterility for fun. Forza Motorsport 4 is fiery, passionate and thrilling - much like the 458 Italia on the front cover.

Achingly beautiful, tyre-shredding action and enough new features to keep the faithful on board. Occasional frustrations, but is easily the most complete racing experience available today.

The level of synergy between Career and multiplayer feels precise and balanced; one constantly bolsters the other, yet neither take priority or feel parasitic. It's an equalized, symbiotic relationship that neither hampers nor enables, and players that prefer one over the other need not worry over missing out.

Forza Motorsport 4 is a big step forward from Forza Motorsport 3 in almost every way. The only flaw is the nonadjustable, overaggressive AI that occasionally makes the game overly frustrating. The pros far outweigh the single con though, and this is the new standard for racing sims.

The series' steely heart has softened, revealing a game that's as exhaustive as it is exhilarating and that's now been infused with a little extra passion. Forza has always been a series to admire, but now it's a little easier to fall in love with it too.

A massive game boasting near endless replay value alongside all manner of improvements over previous entries in the series. The best racing sim of this generation.

A fabulously rewarding drive and the finest Forza yet, but one that comes with an Advisory Notice: more single-player focus and diversity will be needed next time out to prevent the franchise from suffering a potential misfire.

It's not just a racing game, it's a collecting game as well. The combination works spectacularly well - though I can't help but feel that the game could learn a little from the Formula 1... even small edits to the tracks we've all driven hundreds of times would do wonders.

Like a new car, Forza Motorsport 4 doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does refine and improve upon what came before it. Tat's no small achievement given how truly special Forza 3 was.

When it comes down to it, you've really got to ask yourself if Forza Motorsport 4 is for you. There's a ton of content and laypeople like myself will get sucked in when they realize that the enjoyable, speedy racing will unlock them tons of new cars. Still, if you've never dreamt, then what's the point of driving?

At no point does Forza Motorsport 4 feel as impactful as its predecessor did two years ago, but that certainly doesn't mean it's an inferior game. In fact, its refinements and production values are executed so well that it is arguably not only the best game in the series, but the best driving simulator on the market. If you missed out on the third entry, then Forza 4 is highly recommended. But if you're not quite ready to delve back into an experience that is largely unchanged from the last outing, then you might not find much worth coming back for.

Forza Motorsport 4 is an easy game to recommend to anyone who hasn't played Forza Motorsport 3 or to anyone who just likes racing games. However if you have played Forza 3 then you have to ask yourself, do you want to play more Forza Motorsport 3? If your answer is yes, then buy Forza 4, it is very good, it is just very similar to 3 except for a few added game modes. If you haven't played 3, then this is a game that you should play, as it is the best racing simulator on the market.

Despite all the new additions, Forza 4 still feels like Forza 3, but with Top Gear tacked on.

Some of Forza Motorsport 4 feels like retread ground, but there are enough improvements to classify this entry as the best in the franchise.

Forza 4 is about as technically impressive as driving sims currently get – fans of the series are sure to be pleased with its near-peerless handling and tuning, expanded feature set, and Kinect implementation. When it comes to being a game, however, lazy oversights with the AI mean that you end up racing yourself more than your opponents, and concessions to the casual gamer sometimes compromise the core experience.

Polished, good looking and filled to the brim with content. Forza Motorsport 4 plays in the big leagues but suffers from poor AI and is just not as engaging as I would like it to be.

On balance, the fourth Forza gets things right. The franchise has earned its place at the forefront of console racing sims and has done more for advancing the social/online element than any of its rivals.

It's still a beautiful game and it's probably the world's best driving simulator, at least for consoles, but a lot of Forza 4's changes feel incremental at best. The game includes many of the same tracks found in previous installments, and I found myself getting a very "annual sports game update" vibe off of it. With that in mind, it seems like the game's most die-hard fans and people who didn't play the previous Forza will get the most out of Forza 4.
