Jan 11, 2011Fighters Uncaged is probably the only Kinect launch game trying to introduce a more thought and tactical gameplay, where success and satisfaction is achieved by properly reacting to the enemy moves. Unfortunately the experience is partially ruined by some problems in moves detection and an uninspired design.
-
Jun 27, 2011Fighters Uncaged is a nice addition to the Kinect library but ultimately is lacks substance, which prevents it from ever becoming a 'Must Have' game. An interesting diversion but once the game has brutally punched your face off, you will be unlikely to return for a second round.

-
Dec 21, 2010Fighters Uncaged shows promise but nothing else.
-
Jan 4, 2011This unique fighting game feels rushed in every single way. Fighters Uncaged responds very badly to your moves and that's simply something you can't afford when your life is at stake.
-
Dec 23, 2010In conclusion, Fighters Uncaged lacks any real gaming substance and although I can appreciate what the developers were trying to achieve, they really needed to test this game before releasing it in order to jump on the Kinect Launch bandwagon.

-
Dec 19, 2010Fighters Uncaged doesn't offer nearly enough content, and much of it is hidden behind artificial content walls. Most of the fighters are much the same.
-
Dec 19, 2010With sub-par controls, an unattractive presentation, and nothing to do but fight the same simplistic and unrewarding fights over and over again, Fighters Uncaged is a stumbling failure, akin to a fighter who's doomed to a forgettable career as a low-ranking amateur.
-
Games Master UKDec 29, 2010Incompetent. [Jan 2011]
-
Dec 19, 2010It's has a couple decent ideas but it's entirely ruined by how it actually plays and controls, and it's not fun in the least bit.
-
Jan 6, 2011The game is tedious and lacks variety, even though it claims to have over 70 moves. You have to go through seemingly endless repetition to unlock new opponents, and the actual combat is slow and boring. A waste of time.
-
Dec 21, 2010What you're left with is a title which frustrates far more than it excites and therefore can only be recommended to the desperate and the forgiving.
-
Dec 19, 2010While the intent was there, Fighters Uncaged comes off as a failed experiment that should be avoided if you're looking to see the potential of Kinect.
-
Mar 15, 2011No chance for a game that can't have a single positive aspect. Many technical issues make this an overall failed product for Kinect owners.
-
Feb 2, 2011I can't quite say that this is the worst Kinect launch game, but it's right up (read: down) there.
-
Jan 8, 2011Fighters Uncaged is the perfect anti-game. The main idea is kinda interesting, but the way it has been realized is really horrible. The game fails to register most of the movements, and huge lag problems transform Fighters Uncaged in one of the most broken games of this generation.
-
Jan 5, 2011This game had potential. The idea was great for Kinect, but something went horribly wrong along the way. Kinect is supposed to register your every kick and punch, but it only catches about the half of them. This will make you frustrated, and the lack of content and decent gameplay-functions makes you even more angry. Borders on unplayable.
-
Jan 2, 2011A game that clearly wasn't thought out properly or even tested for longer than five minutes.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKDec 25, 2010The core fighting system is designed well enough, but the Kinect control is lazily implemented and there's absolutely no variety to the fights. [Issue#66, p.93]
-
Dec 19, 2010Fighters Uncaged is the worst game to come out of Kinect's launch, hands down. It looks and plays like it was rushed.
-
Edge MagazineDec 19, 2010The ideas and content here are thin on the ground, and limply implemented, too - it's inexcusable that a game whose sole interaction is hand-to-hand combat should not be able to tell the difference between dodging and headbutting. [Christmas 2010, p.98]
-
Jan 4, 2011The best aspect of Fighters Uncaged is that it can now be used as a blueprint for a book on "How Not to Create a Kinect Game". Avoid Fighter's Uncaged; it'll only aggravate and show you the downsides of motion-controlled video games.
-
Dec 19, 2010Controls, rather, your body is wonky.
-
Jan 18, 2011Fighters Uncaged got the supreme honor of being the crappy game of the Kinect launch, a joke we'll laugh at when we'll remember these days spent moving in front of the TV.
-
Jan 7, 2011May I introduce Fighters Uncaged, the most "hardcore" game out of all the Kinect launch titles, and easily the most incompetent. With essentially one game mode, flawed gameplay, unresponsive and downright inaccurate controls, the one redeeming quality that Fighters Uncaged does have is that I'll never have to play it again... ever! Thank goodness!
-
Dec 19, 2010As one of very few core games currently available for Kinect, this is the kind of tripe that will give the new technology a bad name.
-
Dec 19, 2010To make matters worse, you get sent back to a tedious menu screen every single time you learn one of the hundreds of thousands of stupid moves.
-
Dec 19, 2010Fighters Uncaged has few content, and is flawed by a poor movement recognition and an underwhelming game system. Its atmosphere is non-existent, the opponents are more of a joke than a challenge. Steer away from that game.
-
Dec 19, 2010There is nothing inside Fighters Uncaged that makes it worthy of your money or your time. The only other plus to playing this title is the extreme exercise you receive due to over-compensating for the game's inaccuracy.
-
Dec 19, 2010Poor motion controls and unrewarding gameplay prevent you from having any fun at all with this terrible fighting game.
-
Dec 19, 2010Honestly, Fighters Uncaged simply isn't worth breaking a sweat over. You'd be better off facing a real challenge, like trying to play Super Street Fighter IV one-handed or trying to play the boxing game in Kinect Sports blind-folded. No one should subject himself or herself to the pain of Fighters Uncaged. Avoid it.
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKDec 28, 2010Audley Harrison puts up a better fight than this. [Feb 2011, p.108]
-
Dec 19, 2010Fighters Uncaged is one of the worst cash-ins we've ever had the misfortune to play.
-
Jan 5, 2011If you don't want to throw your brand new Kinect out of the window, take this advice: don't buy Fighters Uncaged. You have more luck controlling a lifeless rock. The game doesn't surprise anywhere, except that Microsoft allows games this bad to show up on Kinect this early.
-
Jan 5, 2011I have no idea what possessed Ubisoft to back this title for Kinect's launch.
-
Dec 19, 2010All hardware launches have their shovelware and this is the most glaringly awful for Kinect.
-
Dec 19, 2010Fighters Uncaged is an appalling, joyless makeweight trying to grab some of the Kinect pie before a fighting game that actually works comes along. Avoid it at all costs.
