Without question one of the finest racing games available today. Fantastic.
-
Jan 24, 2011Whilst admittedly rough around the edges in parts, the bulk of the virtual racing experience is entirely refreshing.
-
Oct 28, 2010F1 2010 sees formula One return as a videogame for the first time in three years and for fans the results could not have been better! F1 2010 is not the most playable or authentic F1 game to date but a top racing game that will appeal to any petrol head.
-
There are only a couple of issues that hold back F1 2010 from a perfect score and they're not major gripes at that. The F1 license is finally back in the hands of a publisher that's willing and able to create a realistic depiction of the sport and this is a remarkably good first attempt by Codemasters Birmingham.
-
With F1 2010 you get to drive good looking cars against clever opponents and experience a racing game with a very realistic racing experience. All those positives make the negatives passable, such as long loading times, bad damage system and bothersome pit stops.
-
Is this the best F1 game this generation? Without a doubt, and it's the biggest advancement the license has seen for a very long time.
-
The game has a frankly obscene amount of content to discover, all of it measured and absorbing. Whether the more arcadey difficulty levels will be entertaining enough for casual racing fans is debatable. You'll undoubtedly get the most out of it if you have the patience to approach it as a serious racer and learn to use gears, brakes and progressive throttle.
-
If it's Formula One that you want, F1 2010 delivers the finest, most all-encompassing F1 racer on console.
-
F1 2010 is not a traditional driving simulation game. Its driving system is not 100% realistic, but it's deep, demanding and most of all entertaining. Codemasters has managed to start a new series with a title you don't want to miss.
-
Codemasters strikes again with another racing masterpiece from the creators of DIRT and GRID. Even Geoff Crammond would be proud of this new entry in the F1 simulators world.
-
Despite some very minor frustrating moments in the F1 2010, Codemasters has worked hard to bring F1 experience to the small screen and for the most part they have succeeded.
-
Codemasters got the "pole" thanks to F1 2010, probably the best driving Formula One simulator ever made. Its Artificial Intelligence and climatic effects are on the edge of perfection, and its speed feeling, definitely, will leave you astonished.
-
Excellent graphics and great game play are the perfect mix to make this game great fun.
-
F1 2010 is the first "real" F1-simulation. Not only with all the data from the season 2010 but also with almost all the rules of the FIA F1. Including flags, warnings, penalties and limited tire sets – only a pace car is missing. The controls are direct but not too sensitive, the graphics detailed and mostly fluid. Especially the wet races are great! Presentation could be better certainly.

Xbox World 360 Magazine UKA super-comprehensive racer...Impressive. [Dec 2010, p.90]
-
In bringing Formula One back to HD consoles, the racing veterans have created a robust and at times thrilling game that effortlessly slips into pole position ahead of this generation's other F1 efforts.
-
Even if you don't passionately follow Formula 1, F1 2010 is fantastic for those interested in investing the time in each race. Sadly, it's not as polished as previous Codemasters games, and it requires you to be willing to work around some serious bugs.
-
This title should have existed since two years ago, and for the future it has to improve its graphics and gameplay a little bit (including the safety car as an option). But from what we've seen in this first installment, the future looks bright.
-
Codemasters managed to recreate the main aspects of the F1 championship, with a very good and enjoyable career, a driving model suitable for both newbies and expert drivers and great graphics expecially in wet conditions. Too bad fore some annoying bugs that worsen the overall experience.
-
Easily the best Grand Prix game since Geoff Crammond was on the beat. Its driving is second to none and is brought alive by a dynamic weather system, while its racing is as thrilling as the real thing.
-
Combining ease of use both on and off the track is the key to why this game stands out. Couple that with accessible racing and an eye towards realism, and Codemasters finally delivers an F1 game everyone can enjoy.
-
F1 2010 is a racing game that includes the entire Formula 1 license. It knows how to deliver the complete experience of Formula 1 and is without doubt the best of its kind.
-
One thing is certain; Codemasters knows how to create great racing games. F1 2010 isn't perfect, but it definitely feeds my long and unsatisfied F1 craving.
-
Jan 2, 2011THE F1 Game. A Must Buy for racing sims and F1 fans.
-
Jan 12, 2011F1 2010 isn't for everyone, but if you like it, you'll like it a lot for quite a while.
-
Dec 16, 2010F1 2010 has been a long time coming, and those who enjoy the sport will find such value in this title.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKFans of racing or Formula 1 games will be nothing short of impressed. [Issue#64, p.90]
-
F1 2010 is an extremely accomplished game, which blends enthusiast-level nerdiness seamlessly with an admirable playability, and even if it is a little on the brutal side, it deserves its place on the podium of great driving simulators.
-
A great start to Codemasters' Formula 1 career, with astonishing visuals, great attention to detail and superb handling.
-
With F1 2010, Codemasters fulfilled its contract and managed to offer not only an exhaustive content of the 2010 season of Formula One, but also a great single player career mode which look like a VIP pass to the F1 paddock.
-
F1 2010 remains a game to be uttered in the same breath as Crammond's Formula One Grand Prix, Bizarre Creations' Formula 1 '97, and Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco GP II.
-
The best F1 season in years deserves the best F1 game in years – thankfully, that's exactly what it's got.
-
Accessible with a really good sense of speed. F1 2010 should please all fans of Formula 1 - and others.
-
F1 2010 is a brilliant recreation of the sport, but as a complete package it can't quite top the dizzy heights achieved by DiRT 2. [Oct 2010, p.96]
-
For an F1 fan, F1 2010 is a dream come true. The physics and weather effects are phenomenal, the courses are for the most part accurately represented and the racing is second-to-none, but for everything the game does right, it fails to liven things up between races.
-
F1 2010 is the Formula 1 game we longed for. There are some remarkable flaws and 'living the live' isn't that great, but even Schumacher would be excited about the race-experience itself.
-
Codemasters have made it with both Colin McRae: Dirt and Racedriver: GRID. This time around the Brits offer an exciting and action oriented racing experience with the official Formula 1 game F1 2010. Build your own career at your own pace in the worlds most powerful cars.
-
Oct 22, 2010In order to release a true Formula 1 experience Codemasters has included numerous tools to fine tune your own individual racing style, and true to the sport, saving half of a second can mean the difference between simply finishing or finishing at the top of your game and being the envy of all your peers. I applaud the developer for putting in the effort needed to create this great game and I also applaud anyone that reaches the top tier of F1 2010.
-
F1 2010 is a good first attempt at bringing the wonder of Formula One to current-generation consoles.
-
It's been too long since a decent Formula 1 racing game has been available on the PC and Xbox 360. Codemaster's first effort has a lot of things going for it, but there will be room for improvement for years to come. They seem to be on the right track!
-
Fans of F1 will happily find enough to keep them busy until next year's inevitable release. For anyone else, you won't find much to hold your attention past the initial handful of seasons.
-
If Codemasters can covert a hardcore arcade loyalist like myself, I can only imagine how quickly it will steal the soul of a true F1 fan.
-
Overall, F1 2010 can be a very immersive game and draw you in for a few seasons provided you are patient with it and go in the right mindset.
