    This game is not nearly as bad as most everyone is making it out to be. The reason it's rated to poorly is because it is not like Dead Island (which many people liked). This has the Dead Island name on it, but it's really its own thing. It has zombies in it, and everything else is different. It's a 3rd person action game, with a linear story line, and the graphics are extremely bright, andThis game is not nearly as bad as most everyone is making it out to be. If you think this is Dead Island, well, really, it's not at all.

    That said it does offer some fun. You can chop up zombies, explore a little (very limited), and do different things to the pass the time, including taking pictures. The pictures don't really save, but they unlock bonus items that tell you about characters.

    While I'm not super impressed with this title, it passes. This is a weak 7 but still a 7. It is worth a look, and a play for the right price. Maybe $10 to $12.    … Expand

    Just beat escape from dead island. It's INSANE. And a total **** The gameplay was pretty good for a budget title as were the cell shaded graphics. Isn't like other dead island games and is more linear but the main star of the game is insanity. The protagonist cliff's mind cracks and shatters by the end of the game. So much crazy **** will happen he will see things, hallucinate to the pointJust beat escape from dead island. It's INSANE. The insanity based story atleast deserves a rent to be experienced because cliff is absolutely crazy! 8/10 not a must buy and most ppl aren't gonna mess with it but the story and insanity moments could suprise you like they did me… Expand

    This Indie, borderland wannabe was the worst game played ever. Due to the fact that i like zombie survival. This game is absolutely slow paced and frustrating, (allthough i beat it). I was expecting it to be longer and as well as a leveling up kind of stuff like the other dead island series before. All those twist and side stuff inputed in this game was sure just plain stupid.     For the first 10 minutes i thought this is some kind of flashback or something. But then, i understood this is the game... The worst game i ever saw. With the worst graphic, soundtrack and gameplay.

    There's good and then there is bad. Escape Dead Island has an okay story and good scenery and that is the good. The bad, semi-responding controls and and no skip cinematic feature. The play style is alright when trying to fight of a small swarm of zombies. Cliff (the main character) has an blunt( ax-ish) object to fend of zombies if spotted, a screwdriver for stealth kills, a pistol andThere's good and then there is bad. When fighting, the controls are sloppy and unresponsive when trying to fend off a zombie(s) with an melee,(ax) and sometime when selecting a weapon, the game doesn't even give you the desired weapon and gives you something different. Cinematic scenes were the worst, a cinematic scene would occur before a difficult level or a boss battle. I would die, resurrect, and watch the scene three or four times until beating the level. i don't recommend buying it or even renting it or even looking at it. It was a waste of time, money, and a little bit of dignity.… Expand

    Much better than the review make it look. I expected playing some crap and quitting after 15min based on reviews, but ended up completing it and having a blast doing so. Story is interesting, there's no dead moments, it always keep going and adding new stuff and fckeup events. I would even say presentation of the story is better than the Dead Island game.     Fun game. Something different and somewhat original. Old school graphics, stealth and action gameplay, nice story. Would recommend. Good buy for the price.

    This should be an arcade game - offered for $15 and I would have been very happy. This is not comparable to the other Dead Island titles and is very linear. There are collectibles, but the menu is so bare-bones that you can't review what you have, so you don't know what to continue to look for. The only reason why it's getting a 1 is because I like the comic book style. this is boring, glitchy: get stuck in a bunch of places, and it has nothing to do with franchise we have no idea what happened to the main floor after sailing to riptide ending and it's a virus. But it seems to be BEFORE the event of this isthis is garbage but seriously what happened to this franchise .......     When i bought Escape Dead Island after playing Dead Island i tought that Escape Dead Island will be an amazing game just like Dead Island, but no its not.
    After playing 2 hours of the game i felt really dumb that i bought this piece of crap for 20 euro...
    The story was a stupid as it could get, the game play was very unimpressive and i just couldn't get interested in the characters, the    When i bought Escape Dead Island after playing Dead Island i tought that Escape Dead Island will be an amazing game just like Dead Island, but no its not.

    I tired. I really really tried. For hours. And for NOTHING! This is one of the worst games I have ever played. Only game I can think that is worst than this is E.T. for the Atari.

    The best way to describe this game is death by a thousand cuts. I enjoy stealth action games, but why can't I throw a rock to distract enemies? The voice acting is pure cringe and the controller sensitivity is out of whack, you have to re-adjust anytime you pull a gun out. Like a really bad B-horror movie, this feels like a horror comedy that would have been made for ps2 in 2003. Am IThe best way to describe this game is death by a thousand cuts.     With poor writing, cringeworthy dialogue and mechanics that are merely stolen from other games, it's far from anything to write home about. Still, even with these issues, it manages to be relatively fun and somewhat interesting throughout its six to eight hours.
