Earthworm Jim HD

Earthworm Jim HD is the very definition of a remastered classic.

Earthworm Jim HD is a brilliant example of how games should be remade and remixed on XBLA.

If you've never played Earthworm Jim, definitely open your mind and have a sense of humor and try this title out as it contains some of the better gaming memories (and I loved the cartoon!) I have from the 90's. If you're an old Earthworm Jim vet like myself, pick it up again if only to appreciate for it's much sharper visuals and enjoy the nostalgia; hopefully you'll find enough new features and levels to make some new memories with Jim as well.

Earthworm Jim HD is a great update, one that other developers who are considering tackling an update should all take notice of. If you played the original and enjoyed it in any capacity, this is not a game that you should pass up.

It's a great HD version of a classic game, and I look forward to running through it again when the PSN version launches.

Earthworm Jim HD is certainly short, but its amazing. This remake of the great Shiny Game shows that with great visuals and co-op add-ons these old classic gems really can stand the test of time.

It's telling that Earthworm Jim HD is most fun when it's playing with ideas that go beyond its core gameplay mechanics. But it's also telling that this wide range of inventive ideas manage to elevate the game far above its obvious flaws.

Earthworm Jim HD brings back one of the most fondly remembered platformers made in a far superior form.

Gameloft shows us why this kind of classic games never dies. Extremely funny, with a perfect design and nice additions like the multiplayer support, this is a must have if you like the classic action platform games.

Not the great many of us remember it as, but still looks fantastic and more so in high definition.

The personality and surreal art style of Earthworm Jim HD win out over the fidgety controls, but they aren't capable of moving the title into the stratosphere of a must-buy.

There's no doubt that playing Earthworm Jim with updated graphics and game modes is a treat. Even though I had a lot of fun reliving my younger days, the game shows its age, and despite all the additions made in both the single and multi-player, I have a hard time recommending this game to newcomers.

Though its fundamentals are starting to show their age, Earthworm Jim HD was really satisfying to knock out.

Earthworm Jim is not the superhero we used to adore as a child any more. This remake has almost nothing new to offer and is not innovative enough to bring Earthworm Jim back to his former glory.

For those of you that understand the limitations of the original Earthworm Jim and just want to relive the quirky fun, Earthworm Jim HD is a good investment. But for those of you that have never played it before, beware that the game's fun and goofy personality comes at a price.

Earthworm Jim HD is just as weird and frustrating as its Sega Genesis inspiration.

A near perfect update to what remains a game with far more style than substance, nice new graphics or not.

It's difficult to ignore some of the more frustrating moments.

Though Earthworm Jim HD has wonderful graphics and is fairly inexpensive, it suffers from a lot of control problems that will make you want it to borrow back into the ground it came from.
