Jul 13, 2011For fans of the series, it's a no-brainer. There's so much Gundam here I'm surprised it doesn't leave little Manga stains when you put it down.
-
Jul 18, 2011If you're a fan of Gundam and some good old fashioned Dynasty Warriors action I definitely recommend buying Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3.
-
Jul 8, 2011It's probably the best experience I've had in any Dynasty Warriors title to date.
-
Jun 29, 2011It gets its hooks into you prompting you to return in drips and drabs. Fans will love it as ever, but if you've never experienced the world of Gundam or Dynasty Warriors, this is the perfect game to bring you into the series.
-
Jul 5, 2011It deilghts in the moment-by-moment empowerment of piloting a 1970s vintage mecha in battle, the medium-term enjoyment of turning the tide of a battle through strategic thinking, and the long-view 'gotta catch 'em all' collecting loops. If you have never tried a Musou game before, this is where you should start.
-
Jul 1, 2011But for fans, seeing Domon Kasshu beat the ever loving piss out of those pansies from Gundam Seed is just plain awesome.
-
Jul 19, 2011But in the end it's just another Dynasty Warriors game at heart with a Gundanium exterior.
-
Jul 6, 2011We do think some critics (including one that rhymes with Spy Flee Hen) were a little too harsh to dismiss this one as a forgettable hack and slasher. There's some substance here, particularly if you're a fan of the old Mobile Suit Gundam series. And it is fun, especially when you get friends involved as a team.
-
Jul 27, 2011The best title in the series yet, thanks to the great anime style visuals and the addition of a bit of strategic gameplay. Koei needs to work on the confusing story and the dull and repetitive environments, though.
-
Jul 7, 2011If you enjoyed the previous games and are looking for more, Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 is the way to go.
-
Official Xbox Magazine UKSep 18, 2011Enjoyable anime nonsense robot attack. [Oct 2011, p.103]
-
X-ONE Magazine UKAug 19, 2011It's a sad indictment of the brand that the most important point to be made here is that Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 isn't a sloppy shambles, but there you go. [Issue#75, p.79]
-
Jul 14, 2011A fun game that can be as mindless or as strategically intricate as you'd like.
-
Oct 17, 2011I would definitely not pay full pop for this game, but if you can get it on sale and if you are in the mood to beat the crap out of things and are a fan of Gundam, then this game might be worth your time.
-
Aug 17, 2011Finally, we have a Warriors game with some substance. [Oct 2011, p.75]
-
Jul 25, 2011It offers nothing profound, but improves incrementally over the last in the series (as the franchise is wont to do). Series regulars already know everything there is to know, and as such probably haven't bothered to read any reviews.
-
Jul 10, 2011I wouldn't call this game bad. In terms of what it does at its core, it executes without really any mistakes. But the core gets really boring.
-
Jul 30, 2011Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 is the most successful episode of the saga. Despite the many flaws of the combat system the game is able to amuse and entertain.
-
Jul 14, 2011DW: Gundam 3 is probably THE game for the ultimate Gundam fan, but its reliance on the admittedly played-out formula will continue to deter most.
-
Jul 8, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Jul 5, 2011I would never recommend Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 to a non-fan, simply because the gameplay is nowhere good enough to overcome the lack of interest in the toy box. But for the rest of us, we'll take a half-decent English language Gundam title wherever we can get it.
-
Jun 30, 2011Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 is still very much a Dynasty Warriors game, warts and all. Yet the light tweaks and enhancements – plus giant robots and an attractive new cel-shaded look – really make the repetition a lot more enjoyable than expected. Gundam 3 still stumbles in bafflingly silly ways, but for the first time in a while, the thrill of singlehandedly charging into battle against hundreds of enemies has a flickering spark again.
-
Jul 15, 2011Be warned: anyone not a hardcore Gundam fan should leave this one on the shelf.
-
Jul 25, 2011If you're a Gundam or Dynasty Warriors fan, this is pretty much a no brainer as it's probably one of the best games in the series to be released outside of Japan thus far. Unfortuantely that's not saying much.
-
Aug 5, 2011Don't bother unless you're either a Gundam or Dynasty Wars completionist.
-
Jul 1, 2011For the longtime fans, this is what you like (though even fans should be disappointed at the lack of variety in Gundam 3).
-
Aug 10, 2011Those of us looking for a grind are better off with nearly any other grind game, and anyone who wants to make robots fight might as well stick with Activision's plasticky straight jacketed Transformers shooter. At least those games understand the concept of accessibility.
