With some small adjustments Koei presents the most polished and complete game of the Warriors-series. New elements like the Ambition-mode will make both hard core fans and newcomers to the saga have a blast with this addition to the popular hack and slash feast.

Another good game in Tecmo-Koei series, that won't disappoint its fans but won't even do anything to please the series' detractors. Enjoyable and rewarding; if you like this kind of game it will please you.

It'd suit the adversarial nature of this review if I came out of DW8 feeling as stubbornly indifferent as I have the last few games. But annoyingly, this is the first time Dynasty Warriors has made me want to play on.

This is a long established cult series which is not especially out to win over new fans, but having not been introduced to it before this reviewer found it fun and bizarrely informative, despite being light on gameplay complexity and rather heavy on spectacle.

That’s Dynasty Warriors 8, a mish-mash of fun, brokenness and low production values that in many ways feels like the video game equivalent of a b-movie. It’s a cheap, tacky, mostly easy game that won’t tax your fingers or your mind.

Dynasty Warriors 8 has a few interesting addiction to the franchise's traditional gameplay. New modes, a new combat system and 77 unique characters. If you love the series and you are a PS3 user you should buy it with no regrets. 360 owners should wait the patch to fix the heavy slowdown issues.

I safely believe that Dynasty Warriors 8 is the best entry in the mainline series to have ever been conceived. All the upgrades to the combat and the new features are what were needed to keep the series going forward. It manages to smartly add new things without disrupting the core concept of the game, which is surely what people who like these games are after.

Even though there's no a huge evolution from the previous episodes, it does advance, and brings enough content and additions to become one of the best episodes of the franchise.

Dynasty Warriors remains a series that contains greatness, then, but that's not quite enough for higher marks - although, inevitably, it will still be just about enough to bring along Dynasty Warriors 9.

Dynasy Warriors 8 offers a hack and slash experience prepared for fans of the series with hours of contents and an interesting gameplay, but the game fails when is compared with other games in the genre.

Fans will notice the mostly subtle changes that make this one of the best games in the series. But if you never were into Koei's “Warriors”, this iteration will not make you change your mind.

Dynasty Warriors 8 is kind of like eating the same cake over and over. The taste is good with nice consistency, but eventually you will get tired of it. Little has changed since the last part in the series and new ideas is desperately needed. Recommended only for those who never can get enough of the one monotonous thing Dynasty Warriors continues to provide.
