Okay, I'm sure the game on next gen is wonderful, but on Xbox 360 the game is so broken... massive texturing issues, lagging, audio clipping/glitching, people/buildings/things just popping in and out randomly. And lets not forget the line that's constantly in the top half of the screen.

To me these make it unplayable, and I think EA have sorta ignored people still on last gen... and I

Definitely not worth full price for the 360, based on just how bad it looks, I don't think they should have even done a port to last gen if it looks that bad.

Hopefully Bioware/EA fix these somehow, but until then it's not worth getting on last gen.

However, the actual gameplay, ignoring speech and graphic glitches, is good. The story is awesome, but again, these messed up graphics and audio really takes away from that.

Honestly this is probably the greatest RPG I've ever played! I don't really get the naysayers but its just simply wonderful. From the awesome and very fleshed out companions to the beautiful spell effects this game is an absolute masterpiece in my book. Bio ware truly made up for DA2.

The game is incredible. It has a really solid combat system, and your position as Inquisitor feels genuine, especially when you get your castle. But by far, the best thing is the Dragon hunting. It's so climactic and so fun, despite not using the system from Dragon's Dogma.
In terms of flaws, they are few and far between. The ending feels kind of rushed, the first area you visit (the Hinterlands) is pretty boring, and the Xbox 360 version has quite a lot of texture pop-in and audio bugs. However, the game plays smoothly, and I never got major crashes or lag.
In conclusion, BUY THIS GAME. If you can, get it on a next-gen console or on a good PC, but it's not game-breakingly bad on the PS3 or 360.

Im a huge Bio ware fan. And i have played this when i still owned a ps4 so i thought it would be a bit of the same although possibly a little less, Like GTA 5 did.
Unfortunatly that isn't the case. This is the worst port i could imagine. Graphics and sound are so out of place i couldnt even get myself to play through the tutorial.

Originally, I purchased this game for Xbox 360 and it was quite a mistake. Technically, it is slightly garbage. Gameplay wise: It was slightly boring. It took me years and multiple platforms to finish the game and I can't quite recall how it ended or why it didn't end earlier. The story and action are slightly worse than Dragon Age 2, but the controls are a little bit better. It's overall not a bad game, it's just not good and not what I would expect from another outing in Dragon Age. I really liked the characters and the party was well rounded. Combat was slightly smooth as a warrior or thief, but as a mage it wasn't great. I'd pass on this and play something else.

I quite enjoy that they have a whole other story while keeping in line with the previous stories of the previous games. That way we aren't playing the same game over and over. I.E (HALO!) The only thing that I didn't like was that it is buggy and glitchy, but there is so much in the game that you have to expect it. Also, the graphics aren't next gen, but i'm on the 360 so i'm not complaining.

I have been anticipating DA:I since the release of DAII. I loved Dragon Age Origins and even enjoyed Dragon Age II, even through repetitive dungeons and a smaller world than Origins. I purchased a Deluxe edition for the 360. I really, really, wanted to love DAI.

To say that Dragon Age: Inquisition is a disappointment is putting it mildly.

The game rates a 4 from me solely due to my love of the previous two incarnations and I would love, love, love to see Bioware given their head to make a really riveting story, in an open world, utilizing some of the better design concepts and ideas that are out there.

The character design is better - but not by much. Hairstyles are limited and very plastic looking. Everything has a super shiny look in game.

However, you can alter the shape of the face, jaw, chin much better with their new tool. The ears are okay. Make-up is hilarious whether you are using it on the men or women. EA (because I don't think this is Bioware's fault) would be much better to learn from some of the amateur modders.

Eyeliner should not put a strange ring several centimeters below a character's lower lid. This happens for both sexes when the eyeliner is used.

No highlights for the hair, no multiple hair tones, etc. We can make Qunari. Yay. No long hair, only four hair styles and you cannot alter horn color.

Companions can have armor. Crafting will give each armor set an unique appearance based on metal, cloth and/or leather hide used.

Gameplay is somewhat boring. Conversation between your party members is few and far between. Sometimes the banter has little relevance either to the characters or to the story. There are a lot of MMORPG style quests, gather 'x number of items' for x person/thing. These quests do not push along either character development or story plot. They are simply there.

Cannot see how much approval rating any party member has. The people look plastic. Shiny. Very, very shiny. My male Qunari rogue's black hair looks like a shining metal helmet.

Tactical View is clunky and not very user friendly.

The treasure hunting aid is like playing a 'hot and cold' game with defective bat sonar. If you are really into collecting stuff: loot, codex entries, metals, and other items for crafting, you will spend endless amounts of time clicking down on your left stick, watching the glow light up minimally, and disappearing. You will be walking every few steps using that locater while asking yourself is the sound louder? is it gone? is there a directional arrow (important to the game in some way). And find yourself retracing steps. I began walking a grid like I use in an archaeological dig.

At some point, even an avid collector, like myself, will throw up their hands and say an expletive and just stop looking.

The game world is beautiful, yet everything you need is hidden. Sometimes even when you are on top of a piece of ore or a plant, it's still nearly impossible to spot. It's almost like playing a hidden puzzle game. Some areas in the game are so dark, it's easy to wander into walls and mountains.

There are no belt lanterns and no really good light spells that the mage can cast, although there is something called 'veilfire' that is like a torch that you have to carry and lose as soon as you enter combat. Which is usually just a few seconds after you've lit the torch.

There are no really good healing spells and your party can only carry a max of 8 health potions for the entire party, that's two a piece.

There are 'valuables' but you have no way of knowing what is safe to sell. Later on some of the valuables are required to complete quests and/or needed to craft an item. Since you will find yourself often hesitant to sell valuables on the off chance you will need them 60 hours down the road, inventory space is extremely limited and there is no camp storage.

The scenery is beautiful. The world is more open. And some things regenerate: creatures, not bosses, (spiders, deep stalkers, some of the bandits), and crafting supplies regenerate. Which is a relief, because for some items you will need a lot in order to craft an item.

And you can jump. You can't grab hold of a ledge and heft yourself up, but you can jump a reasonable height and leap onto and over stuff.

At this point, I have the game for the 360, but unlike the other two games, I cannot see buying a copy for the PC, unless the toolset is made available for modders and some intrepid gamers take on the task of making this game more palatable for the PC.

well it just FFA (F*ucking falls apart) right in the beginning and well it's fun, but looking at it makes me feel like I should just go back to dark souls or maybe the first dragon age, anyways onto the actual reality of this game it's pretty good, but makes my eyes feel like they are getting cancer and so it has a five which is coincidentally the amount of effort they gave to this on 360.

I'm not fussed about having super realistic graphics, but when textures pop in 15 seconds late to every cut scene and things render right in front of your character, it's hard to maintain any immersion. A lot of time has clearly been put into creating a beautiful and expansive world, but those efforts are almost wholly undermined by the unfinished feel the 360 version has.

I was royally pissed off to have spent £40 on a game which just isn't made for the Xbox 360 and doesn't run properly on it - you should not have to pay that much for this game, as it is simply broken. If you can, next-gen it, but for those (like me) who can't, at least wait until it's a more reasonable price and patches might have fixed some of the issues.

Overall the outdoor areas look good (better than DA2) and the graphics come alive when you enter a dungeon that loads up independent of the outside world. The story has sucked me right in and the game play is great.

So here is the bad... random graphic pop-ins... some random sounds sync issues... and no manual for a game that has a bit of a learning curve (only an online manual).

With that said, if you can get past the IMO minor issues this will be one of the best RPG's that you have ever played. I take issue with those who score the game low singularly on graphics as the XBOX 360 is a last gen console but none the less the graphics are much better than DA2 in which Dragon Age Inquisition is more comparable to rather than the small and over uses areas in DA2.

If you have played the older DA games then this is a must buy!

I'm giving this game a zero out of ten because it wouldn't even let me play it. It requires 7 GB, which I had (barely), but the hard drive had to be an Xbox 360 hard drive for whatever moronic reason, and the one that came with my Xbox only had 4 GB total. This is truly the most bizarre thing ever. Literally every other game that I've played on my Xbox 360 lets me use my other hard drive.

EA has a bad rep in the gaming community, and some of it isn't deserved, but this version of the game is a complete rip off at $60, and EA should be ashamed that they released it in this ridiculous state. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There were many improvements in this game as well as things that could be worked on in the future but other than that I thought they added some very interesting choices that were very different from the previous games. I liked that there were more opportunities to explore the world and there weren't a lot of boundaries which I both liked and disliked. I liked it because you could jump up mountains and climb up and ladders and such. I disliked it because sometimes you would get stuck in a tricky spot to get out of and then you would have to load the game again and have to start over from there.

It was an interesting choice for them to add horses to the game and it also made it easier to explore the gigantic world. There were also a lot of mini quests and objects to collect to help with the inquisition that made it longer to complete the game which was different compared to the previous games in which it didn't take you too long to complete a mission as long as you kept eyes open during your quest and made such to pick certain things up and compete certain things at a certain time. It was the same way in inquisition but it just took a bit longer in my opinion.

Another thing I found interesting was how they did the companions. There were companions that fought along side with you and then there were three companions that did other stuff for the inquisition. Such as Leliana was the spymaster, Josephine was the ambassador, and Cullen was the commander of the army. You could also develop a romantic relationship with them; at least with Josephine and Cullen.

There were things I liked and disliked about how they did the romance with the companions. I liked how they gave you more options as to how to gain romance status with another companions but I thought it was confusing as to how you got it. Such as in the first game, it was all in the points, in the second game you had the choice to have two different types of romances (friendship or rivalry), while in this game there wasn't any clear rules except the companion approves or disapproves. It was also interesting that they had more limitations as to who could romance who. For example certain characters only preferred a certain sex or class. I understood why they did it that way but it made the romance options very limited. I was disappointed that Varric wasn't a romance option because I wanted to created a dwarf and have a romance with him. I was kind of hoping that this would be the first game in which you could romance a dwarf.

Another criticism about this game was that it was a little glitchy. Sometimes the graphics would be off or the game would get stuck or lag. I've read other reviews and some said that it might be due the fact that this is the Xbox 360 version and not the Xbox One.

Overall, I thought the game was very unique compared to the previous games and it showed promise.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I will admit that I have played the original Dragon Age, it's expansion, Dragon Age 2, it's DLC and loved them all ( If one looks at DA:O as the Illayd and DA:2 as the Oydessy, then both have rather strong stories). So when I heard that Dragon Age: Inquisition was coming out and you could fight dragons for again ( doesn't anyone seem to remember that the Archdemon in the first DA had you fighting a dragon in the end? No, just me? Well alright then), to my post Skyrim addled brain, I ran to Gamestop and reserved the deluxe edition (which included I think some DLC, the hard back prima guide, and a fancy mount or two)

I now feel ashamed to admit that I did that. DA: I was not worth the 80 dollars (US) that I shelled out for it. And I'm not saying this because I am bitter. I'm saying this as someone who's played video games since the Xbox first came out and has played BioWare games since KotOR. And it pains me to write this review. In fact, like many others I am reading, this is the first time I've written a review for a game. And I am trying to be as honest as I can here.

    Pros:
-New race to play. I found it fun to run around as a Qunari.
-Mounts. Say what you will but it was nice to actually have a mount in a fantasy game. Granted both the ES and Witcher series had these years ago but details.
-Skyhold (I think that;s the name) Dude! A freaking castle to govern, that's pretty sweet/ really fun to customize.

As you can see I'm having issues finding the positives with this installment of the series. As for the cons well.....

    Cons
-Graphics: There's something to be said where I look at gameplay videos from the PS4/Xbox One and think, there's not a whole lot of difference. In fact, I can see no difference from DA:2 graphics to DA: I. Is it because I'm running it on a 360? Probably, but there's an issue when you have a game from 2014, claiming a leap in graphics from three years ago, when clearly it doesn't. Except for some weird face shine that everyone has.

-Glitches: Where do I begin? Let's start with freezes all the time, audio glitches (for the first 20 hours of my game, my companions said nothing), areas failing to load properly, lag, the hovering after jumping (where your character is stuck mid air), etc.

-Story: BioWare...why? Just why? This story is so overused and filled with cliches and plot holes. Hell, you kinda copied TES formula of, you start as a prisoner, revealed to be chosen one, go save the world. The fact that your villain (and spoilers ahead here people) is the same guy I beat from Dragon Age 2 and yet, is here to bring the perfect world/ kill all the gods, feels incredibly lazy and weak. The fact that you have Solas as the one who saves you/ mentioning of everyone being suspicious about him and how he helped you with the mark, made me roll my eyes and predict his role in this installment. Your characters...jeeze, and this pains me to say as someone who identifies as lesbian/liberal/conscious of social issues, your only good queer characters are Iron Bull and Josephine. Everything else feels like you are just checking off some box to say, look how inclusive we are, look at us, look at us, praise us. No, sorry, doesn't work like that. At least in Mass Effect series, the romances/ people's sexuality felt organic/ not used as a token. I'd rather not have any representation in this game then the **** you put in it.

-Pacing: I haven't seen a game more mispaced since Fable 3. And that says a lot to me. The fact that your first arc of the game does feel like a race against time, then slows down/ is delayed by what are known as grinding missions/ fluffers.... that's not how it should go. Build on the tension of the first arc, not down play it. Don't make me wait 3-5 hours so I can have one mission done to earn something so that I can go onto the main quest. It's not a freeium phone game guys.

Missions: If I wanted an MMO experience, I would go play an MMO EA/BioWare. The fact that you have hundreds of fetching quests/ pointless side missions that don't do anything to help me in the end of the game leaves me feeling frustrated. I want to play side quests that either a) help me earn new loot/ exp/things to upgrade my skills or b) will have some effect on the world as a whole. Like in the Witcher series or heck even ME series.

-Combat: There is something to be said when there are two or three forum sections about how even your causal difficulty is too difficult. Combat is a freaking mess, AI just has your party running into enemies, tactical cam is a joke, your skills barely do anything....it's just a mess.

    Overall:
If EA wanted to do Dragon Age Online then they should've. Not give us Dragon Age: Single Play MMO with bugs, bad story and characters, and just rushed out the door. Don't buy at full price. Just read the wiki/ add your choices to the keep when they come out with a new DA title.

By far better than Dragon Age 2, and a step itself up from Origins. At first it was full of bugs, But with the latest patch, The bugs are gone. This game takes the best of Origins, and the best of Dragon Age 2, and tells a story that is actually quite interesting. This is easily the game of the year for me. It actually has taken me away from Shadows of Mordor, which I LOVED immensely, but I have had a hard time putting it down, I am over 100+ hours into the game, and I still haven't completed the main story-line (Granted I am a sucker for side-quests)

Whatever you do, DO NOT stay in the hinterlands for long, The game is better if you progress a bit, then do side-quests, then progress the story some more, And do not forsake the Realtime War-Table missions. If you are playing another game, or leaving for a while, pop it in run some missions, you can get good bonuses, and free gold/materials for upgrading. You wont lose a side-quest just because you progress a bit in the game.

I waited a long time for this game. I knew it had to be even better than DA2 which was my favorite game of all time. I am still hoping but after two days of play I feel like I have gone back 10 years in game playing.

First of all, anyone with graphic design 101 knowledge knows that small white type on black is hard to read. Come on EA, really? I have a huge TV and it is an effort to read that font on black. Then add the most convoluted control system but really, since all you have to do is push one button over and over to fight I guess every other button (and you use them all in the most complicated ways) don't matter all that much do they?

What happened to character interaction? I keep hoping that the further I get in the game the more interaction I will have but all I get is looking at a "distance" of characters I have no personal connection with running behind me. I honestly don't care if they all leave my service. What happened to a natural face to face conversation? I am supposed to be the character not looking at the characters talking from "far off".

What made DA2 so special is that I could get to know the characters around me. I could interact with them "face to face" and not from the third person distance I feel in this game. I felt like I had control of my character in choosing, buying selling, travelling. There is none of that yet and I keep playing hoping that there will be as the game goes along. That is truly the only reason I continue to play.

If a previous game is loved, why lose all the loved characters from that game? I understand the loss of some based on choices in the previous DA2 but not others. That is why they are called companions, we should be able to keep them and move forward.

So for a few days since getting the game all I do is run (since walking is clumsy), look for red dots or exclamation points in the corner of the screen to know I am supposed to be doing something else, hit the button repeatedly to fight red dots, level up (also small and hard to figure out) and repeat.

I was so sure that I would have taken over the TV for days and now I struggle to play an hour at a time in the hope that the game will become interesting. Who did your positive reviews and who did they know at your company or is this the first game they have played since the Atari system came out?

This game has a mandatory 8 gigs of storage space that must be copied to the HDD drive (internal hard drive) of the xbox 360 system. I own a 4 gig xbox slim with 128 gig flash drive. Every other game I have ever played allowed me to copy disc data the the flash drive. THIS GAME DOES NOT ALLOW THAT! NO WHERE was this information posted on the game and I was not told this information when reviewing the game before I purchased a copy.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AT LEAST 8 GIGS OF HDD space!!!! FLASH DRIVES DO NOT WORK!

Because of this I ranked this game as a complete and total failure and broken so badly that anyone with a slim will not be able to play it. This is unacceptable and has changed my impression of Bioware as a company that I once thought was trying to put players first. Instead their "fix" is to go out and spend even more money for a hard rive to play this ONE SINGLE GAME THAT WILL NOT FUNCTION WITHOUT IT!!!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY THIS GAME. WARNING WARNING WARNING!!!

The graphics for Xbox 360 are appalling, definitely the worst of the trilogy. i didn't even get past the opening cut scene to see a man (if you could call the poor soul that) who looked like a wire frame with plastic slabs for a body. I blamed it on a bug (as it should be) and moved on.

One word for this game, pop in. This game pops in more than Homer Simpson in Moe's. I had eye strain after half an hour of playing. But I got used to it.

If you ignore the graphics, the crafting system is solid, with plenty of recipes and material combinations to keep you entertained for hours. There jumping is glitched (my character seems to hit the ground in mid air and loses all momentum in her), but the animations, particularly the lock picking and looting animations are great.

Combat is as you would expect in a Dragon Age game, a mix of Real Time Strategy, and Hack and Slash, with buffs and de-buffs coming from Mages and plenty status effects to exploit for huge amounts of damage. All I can ask is that the A.I tactics from Dragon Age 2 would make a return.

A handy tool is the Dragon Age Keep, which allows you to edit your Dragon Age experience and import it to Dragon Age Inquisition.

Characters can be forgettable at times, depending on who you pick for your team, they seem uninteresting, almost boring. However, they do have some hilarious conversations (Cassandra's Swords and Shields, that is all I shall say!)

I recommend buying the game for Next-Gen or PC, but avoid it at all cost for Last-Gen!

I had to restart because my character created an elven mage looked like they were wearing to much lip gloss ingame, having a glossy shiny head with bunny ears. Eeewww yuck! They even pre-named it man'on or some such faddle. A few sound issues on effects to speech noise variances.

These aside this is a wonderfully enjoyable game.

Next gen's version, I am sure has more polished graphics but why am I bothered?
