You'll see pretty much all this game has to offer, literally in the first hour, but the game, unfortunately drones on for much longer. You can roam Disney with cute characters. It's a pretty often used business model, make cute characters, toss in the word "Disney" and every kid that sees it will beg their parents for it. If your child asks you for this game, don't give in. Instead (depending on their age), get them a new Sesame Street game for Kinect, it is geared towards little kids and is entertaining, and is actually a good quality game. Like I said before, the game gets boring after the first hour, and if you manage to see the credits, you don't feel like you accomplished something. Co-op does little to ease the pain. You can expect the same kind of co-op action as in Super Mario Bros. Wii (except you won't fall into pits), but the game still remains boring and offers little more than if you were playing solo. A lot of fun but thoroughly chaotic with more than two players. This is one of those games where what you see is what you get and if you see a fun platformer with cutsey costumes then you are in for a treat because that is exactly what you get. Not much difference between worlds or costumes. I'm afraid though this will become a dlc factory game and churn out too many bits and bobs to purchase outside of the game price. I also find it very dangerous that the game actually allows for xbox live points spending from inside the actual game. Beware parents you kids could spend your money on sheer accident with this one! This is not a kids game as there is a bit of things to do. Started off fun but found it really hard wanting to carry on as the game got boring quite fast, and the worse thing was to unlock every-thing you have to beat it twice.

This game had good potential, though I can't say I was expecting much when it was first announced. I received the game as a gift and regret opening the package. The game itself is lackluster, dull, and uninspired. Many of the levels are the same in different backgrounds or Disney 'themes'. I received the game as a gift and regret opening the package. The game itself is lackluster, dull, and uninspired. Many of the levels are the same in different backgrounds or Disney 'themes'. I understand this game is targeted toward a younger demographic, but I'm not criticizing the game on its difficulty, rather its lack of inspiration. Even a child playing this game would be able to recognize that the puzzles are the same, just with minute changes to keep interest. Admittedly, it is nice to see various Disney characters in their cute, costume forms, roaming around (non-open) worlds of various Disney IP's. Also, the game's controls are fluid. Other than those two points, there isn't really much to say about this game; it's just so... mediocre. Disney Universe isn't a bad game; the graphics are nice, the controls are good. The repetition of puzzles simply ruins this game. Disney Universe could have easily been an excellent puzzle game if more variation was included. I would not recommend purchasing this game, even if for children. There are better youth-oriented puzzle games on the market. Expand

When I was young I had had no sense of quality, but even then, I was able to realise how abysmal this game was, it has bleak levels, boring game-play, and it doesn't even let you play as Disney characters. Instead you have to cosplay as them, and the characters you play as are just plain stupid. Don't buy this game, unless you want to be infuriated beyond belief

This Game is Perfect for Kids! My younger brother (age 8) loves this game. Its often said to be a "Lego Game Rip-Off," but its much better then those games. While it has sort of the same style as a lego game, its much more replayable, isnt as linear, and has much more content then most of the lego games out there. 9/10

With heavy inspiration from LittleBigPlanet and the Lego games, Disney Universe offers some enjoyable gaming moments that are suitable only for kids.

If you're under ten, go ahead and buy this. You'll probably only feel slightly disappointed at worst. [Issue#79, p.82]

Quite simply, kids will thoroughly enjoy Disney Universe and just like their favourite films, will happily go through it time and time again. If you've ever played a LEGO game in the past this will most likely to appeal to you, although don't expect the high amount of collectables that you are used to, but still, expect a ton of fun! Disney Universe is definitely a good group game to have over the Christmas period!
