Apr 9, 2012If you've never played the series before, then I'd consider this a must buy, and even if you've played the hell out of these games before, the addition of upscaled graphics and achievement/trophy support is bound to be appealing enough to play through them again.

Apr 9, 2012Whether you are exploring the corners of DMC's castle or surfing on a rocket in DMC3, there are a lot of great moments in this collection that will make veterans nostalgic and turn newcomers into fans of the series' unique charm. Bayonetta may have outgunned Dante and Kratos may have outclassed him, but the combat, exploration, and scenarios of the DMC series still offer a thrill to this day.
-
Apr 3, 2012Devil May Cry HD Collection is an absolute must for fervent action enthusiasts, and showcases Capcom's pedigree. The HD quality shines through in almost all aspects, except perhaps the menus and the film sequences, but this is proof that quality never goes out of style.
-
Apr 9, 2012Capcom and Pipeworks did a great job with this HD Collection and it shouldn't be missed by anyone who enjoys third person action.
-
May 16, 2012For a relatively budget price with around 45 hours of total gameplay, gamers who may not have played them in their first release get a reintroduction to one of the PS2's classic protagonists in two good games – DMC1 and DMC3 with a third (DMC2) only worth playing to acquire new added achievements.
-
Apr 3, 2012It is a pleasure to play again the first game and to recover the excellent third entry in the series, which is still one of the best hack and slash games around, and even the second installment is good, if only to show how not to make a sequel. A great HD adaptation which keeps the gameplay intact and takes the game to current displays, and also includes some interesting extras. If you haven't played the originals, it is a great chance to do it.
-
Sep 17, 2012As it stands, Devil May Cry HD Collection is a solid package for action fans.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKMay 3, 2012DMC and DMC3 have stood the test of time. The real surprise is just how poor Devil May Cry 2 seems now that it can be directly compared. [Issue#84, p.82]
-
Apr 19, 2012Sure, the game hasn't aged as gracefully as I would have liked, but there are some remarkable visual enhancements and a nice stash of new bonus content that fans are sure to love. Plus, the new Achievements are a powerful inducement for possibly playing through all three titles again.
-
Apr 18, 2012The DMC series was and is still worth your time. If you haven't played these gems then you have no excuse, as for the first time Xbox 360 players have it. The HD remake looks lush.
-
Apr 12, 2012Newcomers will find tons to enjoy here, with countless hours of replay value, and over the top action that will make you wonder why you haven't checked the series out before. The only faults to be found here are that none of the FMVs in the game have been altered, making their low-resolution compression look extremely out of place.
-
Apr 11, 2012What makes the Devil May Cry HD Collection truly appealing is the value you get. There are three meaty action games packed into one disc, and all for $40. You simply would be hard-pressed to find a better deal on three games of this caliber.
-
Apr 8, 2012A great collection witch good storytelling and gameplay, highly advised for those who didn't play Dante's adventures last gen. We would have liked more efforts in remastering the graphics tough, with at least better textures expecially in the first two games.
-
Apr 3, 2012Some of DMC HD's content is far from classic, and there are undeniably rough edges. But as a package it offers two fighting games of exceptional quality, with Devil May Cry slick and stylish enough to overshadow its creaky camera, and Devil May Cry 3 still one of the genre's highpoints.
-
Apr 3, 2012Devil May Cry 3 is brilliant and now that this HD version is out I can finally sell off my old 60gb PlayStation 3, which I originally bought so I'd have a modern machine capable of playing it. The other games in the box aren't nearly as essential.
-
Apr 2, 2012This collection is a good way to revisit the two best games in the series, though it may be better suited to newcomers than gamers who just want to relive their favorite moments.
-
Apr 13, 2012Despite its faults, Devil May Cry HD Collection is a nice collection for Hack and Slash fans.
-
May 16, 2012If you've never played these games before, having the first three titles all on one disk is very nice, especially considering the price point.
-
Games Master UKApr 3, 2012Combat and visuals are as stylish as we recall, but the camera is infuriatingly archaic. [Apr 2012, p.94]
-
Apr 2, 2012Three games in one disc. Two are great games, one is the worst entry in the series, but overall it's a nice HD collection. All the faults are the ones the original games already had, so it's a must buy for hardcore action games fans.
-
Apr 4, 2012With three games packed into this collection, this is easily one of the most content-heavy HD collections to date.
-
Apr 10, 2012There are small issues with the HD conversion – especially in the menus – but this still feels like one of the more accomplished HD collections this generation.
-
Apr 3, 2012Though Devil May Cry 2's faults required more than just an HD makeover, we won't let one bad apple spoil the bunch. For $40, we're finally getting two of the most extensive and excellent action games of all time, with a decent HD makeover. And that's a deal worth smiling about.
-
Mar 30, 2012The Devil May Cry HD Collection's best assets are its price and the sheer quantity of content. But as years have gone by, the camera stands out as a sore spot on this iconic action series. The combat, difficulty, and highly-critical rating system make it an exciting piece of gaming history and worth checking out if you missed it the first time around.
