The 400 point price is about right, and I’d recommend this game to just about anybody willing to give it a shot

Cyberball 2072 holds up fairly well and the option to team up with a friend and take on some live humans would have made this a great arcade football alternative. As it stands, the game just isn't all there.
-
American Football fans looking for a cheap retro fix will probably squeeze 400 points worth of fun out of Cyberball before déjà vu sets in, but the absence of any real multiplayer challenge means any amusement comes with a built-in expiry date, one that arrives sooner than you'd like. It's no Speedball, that's for sure.

Official Xbox Magazine UKA tired sports game with wasted potential. [Dec 2007, p.109]
-
This game is not worth your money or even the time it takes to download it. Not having the ability to play against another human is a huge strike to this game. Bottom line is to avoid this game.
-
Official Xbox MagazineSadly, Cyberball 2072 doesn't live up to our feelings of nostalgia, and a couple of design choices by the dev team leave this port on the wrong side of the line of scrimmage. [Dec 2007, p.78]
-
Xbox World 360 Magazine UKYou'll need to be a serious American football/robot fan to get stuck in now. [Dec 2007, p.96]
-
X-ONE Magazine UKA real mess of ideas that tries hard but just doesn't have what it takes. [Issue 26, p.118]
-
Without the ability to compete against human opponents, this version of Cyberball 2072 is a completely useless waste.
