Of course, for the good in Crysis, you need to play the PC, but the ported version for consoles does not look bad. In all other things, it is a typical corridor shooter, the first third of the game is made in the style of a sandbox, but it does not work really. The graphics even look good on the Xbox360. The only thing in the last game act, the frame falls to 15 frames, if not lower. Well, it's a pity that Crytek did not update it for Xbox One X. Expand

It is an impressive game graphically, it still is today. The story is more than decent, in fact there are movies or series that don't reach its quality in this aspect. I really wanted to play it, it had always caught my attention. But the amount of problems it has means that I have to give it a lower score. But the amount of problems it has means that I have to give it a lower score. It's the game with the most problems in terms of bugs that I've played in a long time. Mostly related to the AI. From enemy soldiers that don't attack you and just stare at the sky, to dead people that get up after emptying 2 magazines. But the worst comes at the end when the game is terribly buggy and makes you can't finish the game against the final boss, forcing you to reload the last chapter until you get the weapon you need to defeat him. A real shame. Otherwise, if you can tolerate this unfortunate aspect, the game is an eye-catching, polished shooter with a good story. Expand

"Call of Duty" meets "Far Cry". This port is missing a level and doesn't include the expansion packs or multiplayer available on PC. The framerate can also be a bit rough. But "Crysis" is still an enjoyable game on the Xbox 360. I was a bit surprised that stealth (while achievable) usually doesn't last long. Also, the game is pretty linear despite the expansive map. For the most part, it's an all-out shooter and can be difficult at times. While you have running, shield and cloaking abilities, they require energy that quickly runs out. Strategy is key to winning firefights. Shooter fans should enjoy it. I would rate this port with a 7.6 out of 10. Expand

So PC fans, don't panic – even though I personally believe Crysis for console is better than the PC version, it's not meant to totally replace the PC version. Rather, its purpose is to give the original Crysis experience to the masses, and honestly, why wouldn't PC gamers want that?

    As a single-player experience, it's every bit the quality of a full-priced shooter. [Christmas 2011, p.97]

It's aged very well and is a great addition to console. Shame about multiplayer, though. [Christmas 2011, p.92]
