  1. The cutscenes are a bit too bad (even though it's intentional), and the game's style is far more over-the-top than it needs to be. But, it has its fun moments, and there's a sense of accomplishment in learning how to beat a mission.
  2. Overall, between the inconsistent campaigns and the botched co-op feature, there's enough here to nibble away at what is an otherwise enjoyable RTS game, and you can add the finer points of control to that list of grumbles as well if you're an impatient sort.

Gleefully naff fun, bristling with good ideas, but it never feels like a 360 game. [Jan 2009, p.71]
  4. It is a solid and streamlined sortie through the RTS battlefield, if a little flawed in parts. I have to mention again how impressed I was with how easy it was to pick up and play.
  5. Whatever small fun that can be gleaned from Red Alert 3 is not worth the hideously poor attempts at humor and bargain basement production values that envelop the final product like a shroud.

Though I didn't have much fun with the campaign and found the friends-only co-op play limiting, there is something worth looking at in the versus mode. Only a classic skirmish is available, but thanks to the interesting units and factions, Red Alert 3 can offer up a decent gaming experience.
  7. I will say that it is worth playing through once, if only to see the movies, and the multiplayer adds some more mileage to it. But as an entry into the C&C universe, it demonstrates a series well past its peak.

It's not a game that will redefine strategy gaming, but it is an enjoyable ride.
  9. The Xbox 360 version of this humorous strategy game can be fun, but it falls short in a few key areas.
  10. Red Alert 3 is a remarkable RTS. The tactical aspect is weak and we could name it "the arcade version of the RTS", but is also fun and cool at the same time and it works fine with the Xbox 360 pad. A blockbuster entertainment that prioritizes the aggressiveness and the speed, than the intelligence or the smart tactics.
  11. While certain issues are there, such as the lack of battling random people online or the slight framerate issues, other promising features have risen from the destructive ashes of rebuilding a franchise.

The 360 version of the game is identical to the PC incarnation, but the control blows. [Dec 2008, p.113]

my review for C%C red alert 3 for xbox 360

SINGLE PLAYER (STORY)- 8/10. a good story from 3 different factions, with lots of b-movie type live action cutscenes with good actors. not the best, but solid.
GRAPHICS- 9/10. colorful visuals, varied unit types, and great looking explosions. minor lag happens when large battles occur.
SOUND- 8.5/10. great voice acting with funny lines, but could use more variety in music. the music though, is good.
GAMEPLAY- 8/10. the controls are overly complicated, but you will get used to them after a while. units and factions are fairly balanced, and maps are good too.
MULTIPLAYER- 9/10. 4 player multiplayer, with any type of team combo (free 4 all to a 2 vs. 2). lots of varied maps, with lag being infrequent and minor.
FUN FACTOR- 8.5/10. this game is still really enjoyable even for it's flaws.
    OVERALL- 8/10.

Really don't know what to say about this besides that it feels nothing like a C&C Game. I really don't know what EA were thinking (ProbablyReally don't know what to say about this besides that it feels nothing like a C&C Game. I really don't know what EA were thinking (Probably another way to crucify the C&C franchise) When I first played this, I didn't bother with the campaign. This was mainly because it looked like it destroyed the point of Red alert 1 and 2! So Instead I decided to try some Skirmishes to see what the factions were like. And I was Disappointed. It felt so off from what I Expected that I couldn't even take it seriously. Never the less, it still carried problems from the Tiberium series, being the AI Magically knowing exactly what you are doing. So for Red alert 3 I say it depends on what you want. For me, I'd only get the game just for the Soundtrack, cause that, at-least that makes it feel like Command and Conquer! Full Review »
