Dec 5, 2015My local GameStop threw away my friends copy of Chromehounds that he'd left there accidentally and he didn't even care. All you need to know about this game... trust me

Jun 3, 2014My favourite Mech game since MechAssault. Chromehounds offers an insane amount of mech customisation which can lead to very varied mechs and strategies for using them. The campaign was okay but the multiplayer was awesome. The maps were massive and the combat was fun. It's really a shame that the multiplayer servers were taken down.
-
May 27, 2014Would give an 8 or so for the Multi. 7 or maybe 6 for Single/Campaign. However, with the servers now being down (I miss you, Chromehounds) my favorite builds are unplayable (due to some parts being from the 'online' portion) in Campaign. Oh well, still one of my fav mech games, so many hours in the garage!

Jan 2, 2014Hands-down the greatest mech game ever published. COuld the overheating system have been better? Of course! But, that's why the community got so psyched for a second game, only to be let down. (Please that second game)

Mar 11, 2013One of my favorites back in the day. Still enjoyed it as the ending mission was difficult. Also custom Mech upgrades got my attention as I have a love for it.

JacobV.Oct 27, 2006Doesn't seem like a "pick up and play" game. I rented this and didn't have the patience. It takes forever to get anywhere. I think my problem was that I wanted to build my own mech, but I couldn't get my hands on enough parts. I'll stick to the fast paced MechAssault games.

JordanK.Sep 14, 2006This is an awesome game. Online has to be one of the best experiences on Live for me. The Single player was ok, but was just like a tutorial for online play. Great game. Keep the Downloadable Content coming.

DanielR.Sep 13, 2006I found Chromehounds a huge disappointment. The graphics were terrible and the gameplay wasn't much better. The Dreamcast could have done it!

RedXIIISep 1, 2006The one player game is severely lacking in depth and gameplay, but the online is where it makes up for it. The one player is only meant for unlocking weapons to play online, at least that is what I gather from it. The online is amazing many different game play modes and lots of tactics/squad play. Buy if you have xbox live, if not then you will be wasting your money.

teachermanAug 15, 2006Incredible Mech solo game. Lots of fun with challenges for all levels. Getting S on each level unlocks additional parts you will need when you go online. Online is like an entire new game. If you like Mechs (Hounds) but this game!

ChipL.Aug 14, 2006This is the best game for x-box live right now. Gameplay is silky smooth and very engaging. If you don't have x-box live, don't buy this game. The single player mode is little more than a trainer for live play.

SamuelH.Aug 10, 2006Good graphics and fun to play like some would say but, How the heck do you play co-op on it?

ChrisJenkinsJul 28, 2006I just love the ADD idiots here. Do us all a favor and go continue to jizz-off to your Halo 2 Collector's Edifiton. Just because a game doesn't fit your style of gameplay, say ADD-bearable, doesn't mean it's a bad game. And having a completely one-sided view is also a great indication of your retardness. Please, get laid people.

Overall the gameplay is pretty forgettable and is only saved by the interesting ideas presented online. [JPN Import]

Chromehounds is really, really, really boring to play...Not one that I can imagine Xbox 360 players sticking with for more than a handful of hours tops, no matter how starved they are for new releases at the moment.
-
Unfortunately, with such drab presentation and predictable gameplay, there isn't enough to sustain interest for long.
