All together, it's a simple, fun entry into the series, and while the only real interesting feature comes from the addition of online play, it's still worth picking up.

The formula hasn’t changed, which is a good thing. If you haven’t played it before, snag a copy and a friend for a great competitive puzzler. The few additions here -- online play, leaderboards, and Avatar support -- don't quite justify the $10 price tag if you’ve got this game in any of its myriad other incarnations.

Willing to change the original Puzzle Bobble and shape it to Live, Taito has missed a lot of main objectives, which are practically family to those who are accustomed to the game.
