With it's over the top package and lighthearted gameplay, this arcade/puzzler succeeds in implementing the Burnout feel we all know and love. Sadly, it's plagued by shallow, repetitive and all to random gameplay that even EA's ingenius Autolog feature fails to make rewarding. Despite all it's promise and potential, this is little but a failed Criterion-funded experiment.

As an interim project, it's good to see Criterion still interested in its most beloved IP, but it's just a shame there's so little of interest in the game itself.

Give this throwaway a miss and pick up a five dollar copy of 2006's Burnout: Revenge instead.

Good replay value, very accessible to non-hardcore players and achievement hounds alike. Fun gameplay for the kids as well. Worth the points. Full Review »
