RyanJApr 22, 2010I just finished the Armory on Playthrough 1 with a lvl. 50 character. There were several points at which I either died or almost died. Knoxx himself is one of the most thrilling and satisfying boss fights I've played in a while. I fear the 2nd Playthrough, only because I'm going to run out of money trying to conquer this massive, well-made add-on.

JimmyNMar 14, 2010Easily the best DLC for borderlands to date, there's tons of missions, a higher level cap, new enemies, and plenty to explore. It would receive a perfect 10 from me if it weren't for the fact that there's only one transit pole in the entire area and you have to do A LOT of backtracking at times.

Jan 10, 2018Borderlands: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is the best dlc for the game. It is a very difficult expansion, but has an insane amount of good loot as a reward.

Aug 15, 2021A content of the same quality than the main game, with one major flaw : no fast travel. This was less of a big deal in the zombie dlc because the map was smaller. But here, you not not quite à bigger map but with a hell lot of highways, and still those missions which require to go back and forth .. Nice story, but the absence of fast travel quite lowered the quality of the experience for me here.

This is by far the best of the three add-ons for the core game, and the most fun I had since I completed the main game last year.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is a huge addition to Borderlands and delivers new enemy types, new weapons, new quests, new vehicles and rises the level cap to 61. Last but not least, it offers the chance to face the most dangerous enemy we've ever found in the game. Great fun and a good epilogue to one of the sleeper blockbusters of last year.

This lengthy add-on is filled with so much humor, action, and looting satisfaction that it could very well be the highlight of all your Pandoran adventures.
