Many will mock Blazing Angels 2 for its repetitive nature and although it’s true to a certain extent the game is still a marked improvement from the first encounter. Flight sim aficionados will probably do well looking elsewhere for their thrills, but pick up and play pilots will find a pretty enjoyable romp in the skies awaiting them if they give this title a chance.
-
Official Xbox MagazineIt may not share the same rarified air as Microsoft's genre-leading "Crimson Skies", but Blazing Angels 2 elevates the franchise a helluva lot closer. [Dec 2007, p.66]
-
While Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWIIisn’t a flying revolution, it is a flying game on a system which is short on them, and one which should appeal to a larger demographic due to the historical license that Ubisoft exercised in its creation.
-
Better looking, better sounding, and better gameplay should be a winner in anyone's book, so if you liked Blazing Angels but hoped for more, then your prayers have been answered. It isn't perfect, but getting to fly futuristic jets and take down giant Nazi zeppelins goes a long way to balancing out the problems!
-
Blazing Angels 2 is superior to the original game in every respect, but it's still not as amazing as the Xbox classic "Crimson Skies."
-
Blazing Angels 2 goes in guns-a-blazin', but runs out of fuel rather quickly.
-
The game comes so close to hitting its mark, but its unforgiving difficulty simply can't be ignored.
