Oct 25, 2011Huge city with lots of guys whose asses you get to beat. Looks great, controls feel great. Def one of the better games I have played in awhile. That being said it is pretty similar to Arkham Asylum....but then again it is a sequel so I dont expect them to reinvent the wheel. All in all..worth buying. ITs pretty fun!
-
Oct 28, 2011There are few sequels that manage to make their predecessors irrelevant the way that Batman: Arkham City has done. Batman: Arkham City is to the comic console game what The Dark Knight was to the comic movie. I

Dec 19, 2011This game is a solid 8. I got bored at first with the fighting mechanic, pretty much the same as was in the first one. What really makes the game great is the environment, the developers did a great job making a big world with tons of references to the Batman mythos. The story and voice acting really are stellar, and add in a big way to this game!

Nov 17, 2011Its bigger but not better. The game features a rather noticeable drop in frame rate in some areas, Boss fights are short and make poor uses of good characters, The campaign (including main and side missions) are rather short as well. It doesnt have the same addictive feel that the previous game had either. Its a good game but not as great as the previous one.

Nov 10, 2011Amazing as the first. You finally get to use most of the abilities and move sets which weren't really designed for Arkham Ayslum. Great story with sometimes even better sidequests like the riddlers. Well worth the money.

Nov 14, 2012Great game with amazing graphics and locations. This game was great improvement on the Arkham Asylum and shows other game designers how to make a sequel!
-
Apr 16, 2013I'm gonna keep this review short and snappy. If you have money, buy this game. I hate superhero games, and dislike batman in general (except for the riddler) but this game is on another level, very very good.

Feb 2, 2015Absolutely love this game. Characters are dark and the atmosphere is gritty. One of the greatest superhero games I have ever played. Sometimes I find myself just walking around and looking at stuff.........

Nov 5, 2012Batman: Arkham City is an outstanding sequel in every department, with stunning gameplay, an immersive world to explore and fantastically well-realised characterisation. The music and voice-acting is exemplary and the visuals are gorgeous. Batman: Arkham City is an incredibly well-crafted, labour of love and no mistake. In short, it's genius.

Sep 11, 2012There is just one word to describe this game and that word is perfect, from graphics to game play, everything in this game is so detailed that you actually feel that those 60 dollars you paid for it were nothing in change of what you get.

Jun 20, 2012Wanna be a superhero, beat the villain's face, rescue the innocent citizens as your favorite comic character? Here's the one you shouldn't miss. If you love Batman series from the very beginning, you should grab Arkham City as well. There's almost no negative point to complain about the game, everything is almost perfect. Hate this game? You must be anti-fans of Batman, for sure.

Dec 13, 2011A Stellar sequel to an already stellar game , Batman : Arkham City once again captivates and mesmerizes with its ever-faithful portrayal of the titular character and cements itself as one of the most entertaining adventures of 2011 .

Jan 2, 2012I love every bit of this game, I didn't run into any bugs or anything, but the playtime is just too small. I mean the main storyline. Of course there are challenges and stuff, but that's just a filler already rather than another game mode. Very dissapointed with the gameplay time.

Feb 20, 2012By, far the best superhero game ever created. Rocksteady clearly knows the trick, and my only advice for them is to run with it. This game perfects the ideas introduced by Arkham Asylum and at the same time it introduces bigger and even more ambitious ideas. A truly fantastic game from start to finish.

Nov 7, 2011Greetings,
Batman Arkham City is by far one of the best games that has been put out in the past years. I am giving it 10 out of 10. (Mainly, to counteract people say giving a 0/0, 3/10 etc. come on. If you don't like a game give a reasonable review, don't bomb a game)
Is it a perfect game, no. Well no game is. But I am in love with it. -

Nov 8, 2011Simply amazing. Improves upon Asylum in every way possible. The open world feeling is great, you never feel confined to the small areas as in AA. You truly feel as badass as you should feel when you are Batman.

Nov 8, 2011Batman was one of the best possible super hero games out there. It brings action, "detective mode", thriller, and a new perspective of Batman. In my opinion, there could have been more changes such as expanding the map and adding more gadgets. However, unlike MOW 3, it had a lot of new differences and brought some more villians from the comic series.

Nov 8, 2011This game is beautifully done and exceeds all of my expectation for replay value. I find myself coming back, time and time again, to spend an hour or two searching for Riddler trophies or tackling challenge maps. This game has had my interest from the minute that I opened the case, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Apr 18, 2012Yes this game is way better than the first one and has plenty of bonus stuff to get you coming back for more. The story is cool, some twists here and there, good graphics, very good sound, superb game play, lots of easter eggs and you get to see the joker once again

Nov 10, 2011Arkham City is the Batman game. The learning curve is around 1/2 hr and you are in. Its cinematic, gets harder over time and becomes more awesome. Any new or casual gamer like me will love it. It is so far the best game I played this year.
-
Nov 10, 2011Overall, very nice! I noticed how they took the previous game AA and recycled it, but to my surprise they avoided the same repetitive **** as COD and added ALOT more content to make it feel as if it was a different game.

Nov 13, 2011The greatest game of the year hands down. I still cannot believe how great it was and the way they delt with mark hamills finishing of his career brought a teat to my eye like how toy story 3 did

Nov 11, 2011Fantastic super hero game with lots to see and do. A must have in any collection. would like to have seen more in the multilayer side of things but that isn't a big issue with a game of this quality.

Nov 13, 2011This game was amazing this is 10times better than arkham asylum the map was bigger the graphics were amazing the gameplay was phenomenal only thing that let's it down is replay value you do not get the same feeling it feels completely different overall amazing
-
Nov 25, 2011just a awesome game. nothing else i can really say. great buy. beat the campaign and still have tons of more to do. if your debating on getting it, just do it.
-
Nov 7, 2012This game is definately worthy of a 10/10 it is how a game should be, the pc version plays extremely well with a gamepad but it is still just as enjoyable with a keyboard and mouse, even if you are not into super heroes (like myself) it is still a must buy.
-
Nov 14, 2011loved the first one and this is an even better version of that. More areas to explore and cool enhancements, a must have game for any xbox owner. The combat alone is worth the price of entry alone. It is so fluid and fun just bashing people with their own bats or throwing a smoke pellet and flee from incoming bullets. A great game with a great story !

Nov 16, 2011Got the game yesterday and instantly love it! I enjoyed the first game and found myself playing for hours on end, but im even more impressed with the follow up and find myself losing all track of time whilst playing. Overall a fantastic sequel and i hope there's more to come!

Jun 29, 2012One of the best superhero video game of all time is back, and this time it offers a more vastly bigger environment. Great action, superb controls (with a little bit of a learning curve) and superb production values are staples. What makes it the best super hero game series is its ability to make the player 'become' the Dark Knight himself. Highly recommended.
-
Jul 12, 2012One of the greatest games.. Bigger and a lot better then Batman Arkham Asylum... And now we have the Game of the year edition.. Greatest hero game ever made

Nov 17, 2011Batman: Arkham City has got to be _the_ most immersive, engaging video game I have ever played through. After finishing, there were actually chills and tears over the storyline. Several times, I was actually stunned at the plot twists. The ending left me without longing... except for a sequel.
-
Dec 15, 2011Arkham City took everything I loved about Asylum and blew it out of the water! Instead of confined corridors, Batman now has an entire city full of charismatic villains played by top notch actors, beautiful graphics, a great score, excellent gameplay and lots of re-playability! My definite GOTY!

Nov 20, 2011So i gave Skyrim a 9, and that makes me want to give this game a 9...after all both games have a few problems. But looking back on my experience playing AC, i just couldnt put it down until i finished the game. The story and setting are just that good. Now the story does stumble here and there but overall its just awesome! Gameplay is some of the best of this generation. Hope this helped!

Nov 20, 2011This game is a batman fans dream. There is so much stuff in this game that is ridiculous. The main story is awesome. There are surprises and shocking moments. They touch on every major batman villain in some way. Easter eggs all over the place for players to discover.

Dec 22, 2011Improved gameplay, new mechanics, and an even stronger story denote whether you care about Batman or not, it's still a game worthy of your time. With some easter eggs possibly hinting at plots for a third game, let's hope Rocksteady isn't quite done with the Dark Knight.
-
games(TM)Dec 1, 2011Arkham City handles its side-stories gloriously. [Christmas 2011, p.102]
-
Nov 29, 2011All in all, outside of a few minor issues, I couldn't ask for a better Batman experience. If Arkham City was a graphic novel, it would be considered a classic.
